  1. There's nothing wrong with the way contracts are done between club and rider. The issues are club to club in the asset system. That's the only thing that would be thrown out in a court case.
  2. Think people are totally missing the point of contracts. Once a deal is agreed the rider is then deemed a clubs asset for that length of contract. Unless specified in the contract a rider isn't free to do as they please. If the rider doesn't meet the standards set or required by the club then said club has a right to terminate that contract. If a rider wants to leave that contract any resignation has to be accepted. What I would like to see introduced into rider's contracts, which would be beneficial for and protect them, is a fixed average increase protection policy i.e. 0.5 average increase. So a rider starting a season on a 7.00 average which then increases to 7.50 cannot be replaced except for injury or misconduct. ________________________ Anyway, back to Swindon. With the closeness of the newly built housing estate and future extensions to this housing estate, has any sound barriers to be implemented???
  3. I very much know the difference. It's you miss-reading
  4. I see that you agree with people dealing in any form seeing as you've called me a snitch.
  5. Well I ain't dead yet. 12 months ago reported neighbour growing weed in their loft and security camera filmed the people coming and going from the house. Anonymously reported 6 other homes based on rumour. If I get a sniff, then I have no shame in picking up the phone. Saving lives is way better than destroying lives. Proud of what I do.
  6. Those that sell I totally agree with. What I don't understand though, is family members usually know who the dealers are. Why these attempted murderers are never reported. First thing I'd do, and I do do it anyway is report any suspected drug dealers in my area. I don't fear the consequences.
  7. Every man and his dog knows heroin is addictive. To take that first shot is your choice. You make that choice to be an heroin addict. Nobody who takes that $#!+ deserves sympathy, especially ripping your own parent off for £40k plus. I don't consider my life as boring and I done drink, smoke, do drugs or gamble. Even with all the health issues I'm currently dealing with, unable to work for 2 years so far, I will not go down that route of taking up things that become addictive. I don't expect people to feel sorry for me so I have no time for someone who's an addict. All addicts are scumbags and have no thought for others.
  8. You can have 6 guest rider's with 1 place being R/R
  9. Just because he was a Speedway rider, why all this sympathy nonsense for this scumbag? He made the choice to go down that path and his poor parents now have to face retirement over £40k down from their hard earned. The other family members are the ones that deserve the sympathy and best wishes. Yes, hopefully Blair can come out the other side, but at the end of the day he'll still be a scumbag I have no time for, for making those choices in life. Addiction is a choice, everyone knows what will get you hooked. Drugs, gambling, smoking, drinking etc, they are choices, I have no sympathy for these people.
  10. Rider of the year - Robert Lambert Most impressive team - Somerset Rebels Team rider of the season - Robert Lambert One to watch - Robert Lambert Bulldog award (Best British rider) - Robert Lambert Meeting of the season - Poole v Somerset (Play-Off) Surprise of the season - Robert Lambert. 9+ average unexpected with his very much improved gating. Underperformers (Team) - Swindon Robins Unluckiest rider - Sefan Nielsen Newcomer of the season - Frederik Jakobsen as no other options
  11. The best meetings at Lynn in recent history have been when Buster leaves the track alone. Slick track and allow a build up of dirt on the outside. All to often he's grading the dirt back down to the inside. I still say though, a change in the shale for Speedway is an absolute must.
  12. First thing I'd do is try different material. The huge stones in the shale is fine for Stockcars as it protects the track but it's awful for Speedway. Remember this too, but imo Buster should have 2 different suppliers. One for Stockcars and one for Speedway
  13. Whether the track is grippy or slick it's exactly the same. No racing. The racing has been dire for a long time and without Robert Lambert's races from the back there's nothing worth watching. The poor racing has nothing to do with the rider's. Jorgensen, Riss, MPT and of course Robert Lambert are racers. It is the track which comes down to the delusional owner. For me, Buster is dragging the club down and needs to step aside full time. Put the Speedway up for rent and allow the King's Lynn Stars to get back to where it should be.
  14. Iversen will be 37 next season. The expectations of the invincible Iversen in British Speedway are over. Still class at times but duff meetings are to be expected. Iversen in 2019 will do well to maintain his current average of 7.36 imo.
  15. Has to be Harry Redknapp and his son Jamie. One is excellent at getting a deal done by any means and the other is excellent at cheating
  16. Agree Agree and disagree. The cut-off should be the 31st August. If any of the teams haven't completed their fixtures and they are in a Play-Off position, they should be expelled from the Play-Offs. Allowing a team to maintain a Play-Off position while not completing their fixtures will give teams reasons to not complete them. If there's 8 teams, top 3 and the bottom club are the only ones to complete their fixtures then that bottom club is then promoted to a Play-Off spot.
  17. If the Premiership goes to 6 the team average should remain the same at least at 42.5. 1. Robert Lambert 9.31 2. Hans Andersen 7.56 3. Niels K Iversen 7.36 4. Ty Proctor 6.57 5. Eric Riss 6.08 6. Lewis Kerr 5.62 Ave 42.47
  18. Sensational is a bit ott. For someone who's had a good majority of the season at reserve, a 5.65 average (5.75 home, 5.22 away) is just average. It's comments like that that shows Stars fans have gone a little delusional. MPT on a 5.65 average will not be a reserve for anyone and will again be shown as just average.
  19. People need to understand that Individuals are dead. Fans get bored and rider's just ain't interested in them unless there's a huge pot of gold to be had.
  20. Individual meetings are a thing of the past. Pride of the East at King's Lynn has been gone for years. Ipswich 16 Lapper dropped this year. Ben Fund cancelled due to lack of rider's. These meetings have had their day and most established rider's just ain't interested
  21. Even with how Harris performed at Poole, I don't think they'll be enough room for him. Poole will no doubt have C.Holder, Kurtz, Klindt and Jakobsen. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see them recall J.Holder too.
  22. Imagine there will be a good number of this year's team in the 2019 side if rules remain at least the same, as a good number of Premiership club owners want. If the rules are the same, the only rider likely to not return is Iversen with his GP programme. Although Lambert has said he wants a return we'll have to wait and see as he may over commit himself, especially if an (very likely) injury happens to rider's in the GP. 1. Robert Lambert 9.31 2. Erik Riss 6.08 3. Ty Proctor 6.57 4. Lewis Kerr 5.62 5. Chris Harris 7.09 6. Kasper Andersen 4.00 7. Stefan Nielsen 3.67 Ave: 42.34
  23. Perfect, every meeting is a Play-Off meeting and then, to determine who is the winner of the Play-Offs, the team that draws the shortest straw. Think we've nailed it lads
  24. I know it's far more complicated but I'd worked the values at worst possible. There will never be a team to average 75 point. Probably never average over 50. So to include bonus points, if you say 55 point average you'll only need 917 full paying adults. So, with no averages teams can be more strength in depth, less admission costs and all bills covered confidently. One of the most important things should be to introduce a wage cap and the removal of the chairman and vice-chairman.
  25. I think dropping averages in the Premiership will allow for better control of wages. Every rider can come in on a fixed wage from 1-7. The most points that can possible be paid home and away is 105 (75+15 bonus points). Obviously that won't be reached by any team but you have to work with the absolute possibility. £250 per point = £26,250 £15 admission for over 21 £10 admission for 16-20 Free Under 16 1750 over 21's will break even. Working on those values, along with sponsorships other overheads should be able to be covered. Also, tac subs when 8 behind All rider's must complete a minimum of 2 rides. Maximum number of rides is 6 Every team must have a minimum of 3 British rider's, 1 of which must be under 21. The Championship to be average capped to 45 and wages capped to £100 per point, 4 rider's minimum must be British with 2 under 21.
