  1. I'll go for the full 4 points. Confidence is high and we've had a couple of 4 pointers in recent weeks so why not.
  2. Think it's Worrall, Hawkins and the reserves that cover for Manzares, not Risager. Bit of a nothing meeting for us to be honest. We're good enough to win here and I think we will, but it's not the time to be doing anything silly with the play offs around the corner.
  3. Can I just add my sincere commiserations to Rohan Tungate for managing to take over the Witches number 1 race jacket. All the best lad..
  4. I think it will be mid 50's too, but wouldn't be at all surprised with 60+ as our reserves in particular are far superior.
  5. Haven't really studied the table, is the article right in that we've already guaranteed a play off place?
  6. If Adam hates the Lakeside track as much as rumours suggest, I'm not sure it's doing his overall progression any favours by having it as his home track. At his young age it could quite easily get him down and affect his confidence.
  7. More than likely not Manzares' cup of tea either! Don't expect a point here, but not expecting a real thumping either.
  8. Sitting in the golf pub garden a few hundreds yards from Foxhall and we've all legged it indoors as it's started raining!! Edit: Short sharp shower over before it even began. No harm done
  9. Not sure Baldy Josh is a very good rider and he's scoring very well at Elite level too. But TBH haven't really taken much notice of his Foxhall form so I'll take your word on him not being great here. I still remember vividly Glasgow getting a draw here not so long ago, and unfortunate not to get the win. Worky on paper look far superior to Glasgow with all due respect to them so I've a feeling it could be a good close meeting. We've been in good form, but we've been in good form previously this season and still always managed to throw in a shocker here and there so not taking anything for granted!
  10. Looks like it could be a good nights racing so think I'll make the effort and go to this one. Having our full 1-7 on show helps.
  11. Should be fine, but then again most of us thought that when Glasgow came to town a few weeks back and Worky look a much stronger team..
  12. Good point that Lovey we normally have an individual (Star of Anglia) in the summer which we haven't had this year. I'm another who has lost interest I'm afraid. Been to one meeting in a good couple of months. Like you Lovey, I'll still log on later to find out the score just like I will Thursday evening and I'll pick up a paper and read the meeting report on Fridays. But that's where my interest ends at the moment, I really just can't be bothered to make the effort and attend as IMO it's not worth the time, effort and money these days for what we get served up. Looking at falling attendances at Foxhall and many many other clubs, unfortunately it seems more and more are feeling the exact same way.
  13. I'm just not convinced with Worrall Baldy. Not saying he's a bad rider of course he isn't, but his average now of around 7 and a half looks about right to me. If we signed King and kept Worrall, then we'd have to change a couple of the others. I'd rather keep the 6 we have now, and just upgrade our number 1 with King or simllar with the points we'd have left. Starting next year with Heeps and Ellis at reserve again would be a bonus. Risager and Tungate are assets so would be silly to replace them with riders of similar ability. Both can be match winners on their day. Hawkins has done a steady job and is the captain, on his average I'd keep him too and Manzares must be a shoe in for next year. Continuity for me is the way to go, not a lot wrong with our current team especially when you factor in that most others will have to weaken.
  14. I'll be that fool! I'm not sure his current average looks cheap, it looks about right to me. Looking at the latest greensheets, next season we could actually track 6 of this years 7, Risager, Tungate, Manzares, Hawkins, Heeps and Ellis, and replace Worrall with Danny King and still be under the limit! That would be some side.
  15. He rather foolishly took on the curse that is the Witches number 1 race jacket! Wonder who'll be brave/stupid enough to take it on next year
  16. Hopefully we can take advantage next week and catch the new boys cold as they may need a few meetings to get up to speed
  17. Never been to Berwick but knew it was a big track. However, I was pretty shocked to see how tight and narrow the straights were in particular! Maybe the camera was playing tricks a little and they aren't quite as narrow as it looked on TV
  18. It was for me it completely spoiled it as far as I'm concerned. Must admit though, I never got the zooming in problems you've described on the dvd's I've had. Have they got someone new doing the filming?
  19. I used to like the dvds, but gave up on them when they changed the filming position from the home straight, to between the first and second bend.
  20. Are we talking Di's diner staff? Think it's mostly kids who serve the food there but the fella who pulls the pints is a cracking fella, very friendly.
  21. Decided to pop along to this one at the last minute and I'm so glad I did, some fabulous racing. On another very hot and humid day it must have been a nightmare for the track staff to get the track in decent shape for racing. But hats off to them because they produced a top class race strip and the excellent racing naturally followed.
  22. I haven't bothered for the last few home meetings either Baldy and I won't be there tomorrow either. Don't think Louis has done himself any favours with his constant public comments that he has no intention of changing the team. We're under the points limit and have scope to strengthen to try and squeeze in to the play offs, but it seems a fair few of the fans are not the only ones who seem to have lost their enthusiasm. A new face would probably have changed my mind and I'd have made the effort to go.
  23. Risager normally doesn't go well there, but didn't he have a good meeting there last time out? Both Risager and Tungate are frustrating, can be either very good or very bad.
