  1. I agree I would be doing a deal for Worrall right now. I'd imagine he'll be hot property next season if that average doesn't increase much in the closing months. Actually there's a few there who have dropped their averages who now look a lot more attractive! Most teams will have to rip their teams apart after this season and shed riders, we could keep our 1-7. On Adam Ellis, Jonny I honestly can't remember seeing anyone having a Pop at Adam on here, as has been said there has been a lot of frustration at the amount of meetings he's missed which has been ridiculous to be quite honest. Nobody has blamed Adam himself for that as we all realise it isn't his fault. I'll admit though I've been a little disappointed by his performances this year and thought he'd kick on better than he has, but I still have faith that he'll go on to be a very good rider in the future. I'd certainly look to retain him again next year if we have priority over his fixtures.
  2. Who?? Edit: Just seen the post above. Don't think Masters has been particularly good this year has he?
  3. Not sure it'll matter having just watched the weather forecast on BBC, looks a wet one.
  4. Still can't quite get my head around how this has happened! My pre-season prediction had Heeps as Number 1 by the end of this season..
  5. Don't think it matters a jot who owns his contract Baldy. Riders ride where they want these days regardless. If as has been said, he hates riding Lakeside, then I'd be surprised if he commits there long term. We'll see I guess.
  6. Quite right there's more than one rider that has underperformed, but Ellis is the one that stands out above all others simply because he's missed so many meetings and having to be replaced with a NL guest weakens the side. Surely even Adam's father understands that view. There's no "Witch"hunt going on here, it just stands to reason. If these rules stay in place next season, then I personally hope the promotion select their 1-7 very carefully, and choose 7 Witches that will first and foremost be Ipswich riders that we'll see every week.
  7. Well that's exactly the point right there isn't it? We have to make them first. No point having Ellis available to us when the play offs come around if we aint in them! If he's going to miss many more meetings and there's a rider out there who is good enough, and would be available to US for the rest of the season, then that is a change we should make IMO. Depends on the amount of fixtures remaining that he'd miss.
  8. I agree with Bash here, a rider up to 6.20 for Ellis is a no brainer when you factor in it'll be said 6.20 rider instead of NL guest for some meetings. Getting Heeps and Hawkins at reserve would also be very very good. Problem is getting that rider who is good enough, won't miss many if any meetings with other commitments and finally, who wants to come. Not easy I suspect.
  9. Know how you feel westhamboy we've had to use NL guests for Ellis on far too many occasions and it is damn annoying. Some decent racing last night, nothing wrong with Foxhall since the track was widened, but it still needs to be prepared well which it wasn't early on in the season. Thankfully it's now much better and decent racing naturally follows.
  10. Doesn't feel like he's getting the best out of the riders, bit of a strange one. http://www.ipswichwitches.co/index.php/news-centre/841-time-for-a-change
  11. TBF to the Ipswich promotion, they've put together very good sides on paper in every season we've been in the PL, I've been very happy with all of them. But for whatever reason, every year so far we've underperformed and not done as well as we should have. Too early to include this years in that though, as we're still in the KOC and I'm convinced we'll be in the top 6 so this season could still be a success.
  12. Well I got this one badly wrong. Shocking from Ipswich but fair play to Glasgow.
  13. If our "number 1" matches Barkers 13 tomorrow I'll run a lap of Foxhall pre meeting Thursday in my birthday suit! You won't see paid 14 from Heeps this year either it's really sad to see the lad struggle so badly after having such a promising year last year. I do think we'll win tomorrow, and that's because I think our reserve pairing is a lot stronger than Glasgow's and that will see us through. Possibly.
  14. I think we could possibly take 4 points from those 3 fixtures. With the greatest respect to Glasgow, they look a poor side so we should be looking to win that one at least.
  15. Isn't that partly to do with rolling averages though? Would be interesting to see what his average is from this season alone as he does seem to have struggled a little at times by his standards.
  16. If we can avoid fixture clashes and manage to get our own 1-7 in the fixtures, then I strongly fancy us to get through to the final. Plymouth can certainly be very good on their day though no question, so it's certainly not going to be easy. Not as easy as Somerset anyway
  17. Ah fair doos it's just I looked on their website and the BSPA site for results and fixtures and couldn't see anything there regarding KOC. Had a horrible feeling they weren't taking part for some reason which would have devalued winning the trophy for anyone else IMO. Do you know who they face next?
  18. Don't think it matters an awful lot how many Vissing gets to be honest. If the contracted Witches can't score enough between themselves to protect a 40 point lead, then they want shooting. We just need to make sure the riders aren't complacent and go there thinking it's already over, then we'll be fine.
  19. I agree Baldy I just can't see any possible way we could throw this away, hopefully not the kiss of death! Vissing is a shrewd guest too. Knows his way around Somerset and should be good for a few wins.
  20. I'm not sure how heavily Gino is backed, but his equipment has looked first class from day one. He obviously looks after his bikes, because they are gleaming at the start of every meeting. compare that to a lot of others that don't even look like they've been washed from the last meeting. He also posted pics on Instagram a few days ago of his engine that he sent away for another service, I think that's the second or third time he's done that this season so he's very well prepared. One of the signings of the season for me he's been fantastic and entertaining too.
