  1. It's not really senseless or a bad decision if he's being replaced by a GP rider. He's not done a lot wrong but in terms of pedigree and what all of Brums riders should be capable of Cook was the obvious choice. I'd have him at Lynn to replace MPT, think he could do well for us. As for tonight pleased to see Redcar showing a bit of form over the last few meetings as I tipped them to finish top pre season. They are full of promising young riders but more of them need to be doing what Edwards did tonight more often.
  2. http://www.kingslynn-speedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.31517 Reading between the lines he's been struggling for Ostrow since injuring himself at Lynn and I expect they are stopping him from riding over here until he's fit. No doubt the 'undue pressure' Lynn talk about not putting him under would result in Ostrow making him quit Lynn, just like Tarasenko did.
  3. I'm sure that's not in accordance with the rules. Which is probably why a Poole fan suggested it
  4. He's not really what we need, but he'd be better than guests IMO.
  5. I think stuff said in the heat of the moment during a meeting is probably a red herring. However I suspect he's more likely to end up at Lynn or BV as he's ridden for those before, I expect he's already been sounded out by both. Highly unlikely he's coming over yet anyway with Poland, Sweden & GP's all in full swing. Ipswich need someone ASAP really, nobody can replace Doyle but guests and R/R are so unreliable.
  6. It's the system that's wrong, not the riders who agree to ride.
  7. Well according to the man himself on P&P night he spent 'more than ever before' on this year's 1-7 so the intention has been there this season, I guess it boils down to how much more he wants to spend and whether his enthusiasm was eroded by the two point deduction. And other clubs looking for riders makes it much harder as Lynn will get outbid. I think they need to sign someone as guests won't work.
  8. I think it depends massively on who is replacing MPT & Josh P for this fixture. I'd expect Sheffield's reserves to struggle so if Lynn's heat leaders cab score well then I reckon a win on the night is quite possible. And would be long overdue.
  9. Boughen is going to go the furthest out of that field if he keeps his feet on the ground. Very good display by Vinnie Foord too.
  10. Very much agree with that. I think he's far too good anyway but people do seems to leave huge holes for him.
  11. I think Robert probably learned a bit of a lesson from getting passed by Magic in the SWC last year. Last night he achieved four second places when going after the race leader on a poor track gives the bloke in third a chance to attack him and get past. I think that's just sensible riding. What he does need to crack is the psychology of semi finals and finals, he's not turning enough of them into podiums and wins. As for the series, Zmarzlik is once again going to win it at a canter barring disaster and for me that's the main issue, a lack of jeopardy. I'm not particularly interested in people riding into eachother and riders being fenced personally.
  12. That's a bloody good effort by Plymouth, they have a lot of spirit and determination.
  13. More significantly Ipswich have an extremely wealthy sponsor, Lynn don't.
  14. Bewley will be fine at BV, and GB will have as much chance as anybody because of where it is.
  15. Completely controlled by Wroclaw unfortunately as has been said many times before.
  16. No worries. Were any further details spoken about at the track last night about Monday's postponement?
  17. You've got your wires crossed, I wasn't referring to Monday's meeting which has been quietly postponed with minimal fuss. And one assumes without an SCB enquiry
  18. Absolutely spot on, and exactly my viewpoint when Lynn postponed and got punished. The governing body should never be allowing fixtures on nights when riders are already absent. All this garbage about 'facilities being available' is exactly that, the paying public deserve better. Unforseen rider absence is quite different.
  19. We've only ridden eight meetings. If he made the right changes there's no reason why we couldn't finish above Leicester, Oxford & Brum.
  20. I had exactly the same thought when I heard that. He may even be more willing to come to the UK now that the GP qualifiers are out of the way until October.
  21. I'd suggest that his scores from there so far say that he is.
  22. You need to get out more. Try going to Glasgow, Workington, Redcar, Oxford or Scunthorpe for example. Broaden your horizons a little.
