  1. One word.....entitlement. Good to see Phil has several in his keep net including the biggest fish of all 😁
  2. Part of that was the fantastic big red slurry spreader which was used to water, meaning they always got plenty of moisture into the track. You wonder if the lesser quality of shale nowadays is a contributory factor.
  3. He's clearly not putting in anywhere near 100% in the UK so no thank you.
  4. Tac subs shouldn't be allowed for the home team anyway IMO.
  5. If he wants to do Prem I'd like to think Lynn have him lined up to replace Boughen if/when required. I've long since thought we shouldn't be letting average foreigners ride here until all Brits who want a spot and are good enough have been employed.
  6. Would disagree, the two Danes were paired together early in the season as they tend to ride well together, at least two heats would feature them both with Niels at 5. Also thought Kvech and Lawson have been decent as a pairing.
  7. Paying for Riss or Cook almost certainly wouldn't be. If there were other teams not riding I'm sure they would have booked a guest. They really can't afford to lose at home if they have any designs on 4th.
  8. My assumption is that this meeting and the NDL / NDT are categorised as 'junior' speedway (and probably U21/U19 competitions in other countries too) whereas the Championship is senior racing.
  9. This is the problem they have at Lynn when the sun causes delays, if the whole track was in sunlight I'm sure they'd crack on. It's the contrast that's the issue.
  10. Listen to it yourself: It'd be Riss or Cook and the idea is that three rides for Klindt and one for Kvech will be much more reliable at home and it's almost possible to disagree. If they just wanted to do things on the cheap then they wouldn't have booked a guest for Monday week at Brum.
  11. I'm pretty sure he was expecting both moves and even surer he'd have done exactly the same if the roles had been reversed. Furious with himself I expect.
  12. A real pity they didn't split the wild cards, one each for Wright and Harris would have been good.
  13. Was my first visit to Leicester speedway today. Really impressed with the view all round the stadium, the friendliness off all the staff, love the golf buggy shuttling between car park and track. Unfortunately the track was dusty most of the afternoon and having been watered after heats 4, 7 and 11 things were still dusty to the point where Ace Pjiper gave up his lead in heat 12 as he couldn't see where he was going and shut off. Bit more grading and half the track was watered before heat 13 (brilliant race by the way between Cairns, Scott & Harrison) and heat 14 was run in more clouds of dust before they called it a day because 'it would have taken too long to refill the bowser'. Not sure if this was because the water pressure was low (taps in bogs were a dribble after the meeting) or if the pressure was low because the bowser was being filled but it was a bit unsatisfactory despite the result having long been decided, another dose of heat 13 would have been nice. That apart really enjoyed the afternoon out. Real shame the refreshments outlets were cash only as they missed out on my custom and most of those with me, card machines are surely a given a quarter of the way through the twenty first century. Great little speedway venue. Will be back. EDIT just seen @flagrag 's reply regarding water supply
  14. I'd have thought four seasons at Monmore Green suggests differently.
