Because he’s on an attractive average, because given a whole season he would almost certainly be better than he was for a few weeks this year. Because he is still a class act. Not sure if he is doing Sweden this year but if he is I don’t see him doing a full season here. As for Lynn my feeling is that we have moved on from Puk now and that the three heat leaders who finished the season for us will be ahead of Iversen in the queue for 2020.

Not now the race night issue has been addressed. Doubling up is way down speedways list of problems.

Which bit Theresa? -
Need one or two more new faces than that, away form needs addressing. Don’t think you can start with Lewis in the top five unfortunately going by last season. The more I think about it having Lambert, Cook and Riss as a heat leader trio is a must. Choose the other four carefully and we could have a team who will challenge at the business end of the season.

We had an absolute ball in the second division 2003-2010, I’m sure Poole and the majority of their fans will too.

Peterborough Panthers 2020

I’d have thought the biggest draw to Belle Vue for Wright would be the lack of travelling for home meetings. -
The problem is they lowered the standard by dropping down a League and made or more expensive for concessions, not clever. It’s like getting relegated in football and making it more expensive to go, don’t be surprised then by all the empty seats.

Not an hour perhaps but ninety minutes is plenty long enough. An hour and three quarters absolute maximum which would be a half nine finish at Lynn. If there have to be longish gaps between any races then something needs to be going on to entertain people. -
It was an issue when race nights clashed between the leagues but now we have fixed race nights for the top league it’s really not.

Nobody should be criticised for trying new things, they might not work but we won’t know until they've been trialled.

Karol Baran.

Did I read on here that Somerset dropped down and then increased their admission prices?
-
How about the purple helmet?
-
But undoubtedly more than you.
-
Why did they stop going though? Probably best to ask that question before blaming people who used to go.
-
If it is then fair enough but that’s one of several rule that needs binning. Or perhaps it should be a rule that if you ask you risk it being increased instead
-
Don’t be daft, just amused at the suggestion of rule bending five minutes after you’ve changed leagues Anyway I wouldn’t call it a ‘demise’ at all, you are moving into a good, competitive league with more teams, more things to win and some great tracks. Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it.

You beat me to it
-
I’d like to think so too but the three riders who were most disappointing on the road last season are experienced and I’d say the chances of them suddenly clicking on other tracks is fairly slim. We all get emotionally attached to riders especially those who have been around the club for several seasons but if you want to be successful sometimes it’s necessary to be ruthless.
-
Some continuity is good but two or three fresh faces are too IMO. Bottom line is you can’t have riders averaging 3-4 away from home however good they are at Lynn.

You’re too sentimental Theresa!

Andersen would be a great addition to the Championship.

I’m sure you’re right but it’s marginal gains, lots of little things which would be really simple to put right could sway somebody the right way if they were umming and ahhing about weather to go. Of course the main factors are VFM, ie quality of racing, atmosphere and price. -
Wouldn’t leave an awful lot for the other three though.

Not sure Swedish speedway is the best example to use at the moment? Anyway decent up to date music is an easy fix, a quick win. Same with clean, pleasant to use toilets. They are basics which every track should be able to manage. Any little thing which can be done to make a speedway supporter’s evening out a little bit better and make them want to return. Unfortunately I think many promoters are lazy and complacent.
