  1. It’s also worth noting that Robert won races and reached semis in the GP before his crash in the SoN which completely knocked the stuffing out of him, he was never the same after that particularly round the first two bends.
  2. Calm down dear! And remove that chip from your shoulder while you’re at it. Young Polish riders have always had the best kit, that’s just the way it is and stands to reason with the finances that speedway over there has, the best ones are heavily subsidised by the clubs/authorities and U21 success is demanded. That’s said without bitterness or jealousy, it’s just how it works. As said we’ll see over the next five, ten, fifteen years who turns out to be the best of the current crop. As things stand U21 results and averages don’t lie but everyone knows what a tough year Robert had and that has to be a factor. Pretty sure he will come back stronger.
  3. Polish U21 riders have the advantage of a bottomless pit of sponsorship meaning missile bikes and I think the reserve system in the Extraliga helps them too. We'll only find out over the next 5-10 years who is the best of those who have just graduated from the U21 scene.
  4. I’m not sure Britain carries much weight any more but in theory if the Extraliga discarded him and in five or six years he’s excelling in Sweden, Euros, SWC and perhaps even GP’s then of course Poland wouldn’t ignore him. Hopefully it won’t cone to that though and he starts cutting in in Poland as soon as it starts again.
  5. He’s still very young, he seems older as he started in our Elite League at sixteen but there is every chance he hasn’t reached his peak. After an excellent 2018 a slow start and then two huge crashes prevented him kicking on further but it would be silly to rule him out of one day being a GP rider.
  6. Well of course he has but you can say that about the vast majority of riders of his age and experience. What people are saying is that the signs are there that one day in the future he will be of GP standard.
  7. I remember that meeting, 2017, think it was on telly, and pretty sure he won a race. Apart from one meeting when he scored paid 14 he seemed ill prepared during that spell with Lynn. Listen, nobody expected him to be a world beater but having signed a while ago and starting the season with everyone else I think he would have been a solid middle order man and certainly better than Grauber.
  8. Sounds like a CVS favour on a technicality. Probably something to do with Pearson too.
  9. Seems like a bit of a Jonasson free for all on here, not his fault he’s been mucked about and I think he’d have been a decent signing without setting the world alight. His exclusion certainly weakens Brum.
  10. It should be remembered that last season was Lidsey’s first in the UK. Every chance he could make it to the GP’s in the future and we’ll have a much better idea about that with another British term under his belt.
  11. I thought Sheffield released him as he wasn’t scoring points?
  12. You are probably right but only two of their twenty four league matches will be at the NSS next year. Even if they got nothing from those two meetings (and I’m not convinced they won’t) P’boro have more than enough about them to get into the top four. Can’t see any of their riders improving dramatically but they could all put a little bit on their starting figures which would give them a good chance come the business end of the season. In my opinion of course.
  13. It gets said every time and nobody takes any notice but stop biting FFS
  14. Colin going into Portaloo Road will transform them
  15. Have you not come across BCD before
  16. You found a shade which suits Paul Lambert yet
  17. I’m sure by the end of the season he’ll be mixing it with those three too but there are several other riders he’ll be facing in the Championship who averaged more than he did in 2019 in the Premiership. I think your expectations of him are a little high, he’ll need time to settle in and learn the circuits and he is still young so I expect him to improve fairly quickly but as I’ve said anything over seven will be a good year for him.
  18. He will have to finish in the top ten of the averages to maintain his starting figure....not knowing the vast majority of the tracks makes that a very tall order. If he finishes with a figure somewhere between seven and eight he will have had a good year.
  19. Don’t think he’ll maintain his average but a great signing who should do an excellent job, and I think a year in the Championship will do wonders for his development.
  20. I quite liked the Knights name and race jacket of 1997-98 until it turned into that daft emblem that Brian Griffin came up with. The Silver Machine thing was ok but maybe the Stars is what we should always be going forward.
  21. STARS LAND NEW TEAM SPONSOR KING’S Lynn are thrilled to welcome Minors and Brady Estate Agents as their new main team sponsor. The Norfolk outfit will now be known as the Minors and Brady Stars with preparations well underway for the latest Premiership campaign. Minors and Brady are award-winning estate agents which was founded by Jamie Minors and Alex Brady - who have both worked their way up from being trainee negotiators to running their own company with three offices across Norfolk. And for co-owner Alex Brady it really is a 'dream come true' to become team sponsor of the club he has supported since he was a child. He said: “I am a huge fan of speedway and I have been coming to Lynn since I was five-years-old. I went out to eight of the ten Speedway Grand Prix’s last year and we also sponsored Ty Proctor in 2019 - I would class him as a good friend. “I have known Buster (Chapman) for number of years – I did a Power Slide class when I was 15 and then I dealt with him through work last year, and that is really how this all came about. “It really is a privilege to be asked to be team sponsor because I have spent so many years watching Lynn and you see companies like Poultec sponsoring them, but you always dream that one day it could be you. I love the sport and I want to help it grow again, gaining exposure so like I say, it really is a privilege.” King’s Lynn owner Keith Chapman is delighted with the new partnership. “I am very pleased to have Minors and Brady as our new team sponsor this year and I would like to welcome them to the club,” he said “I know that Alex has been coming to watch the Stars for many years and he really has the club’s best interests at heart. Hopefully we can help them going forward as much as they’re help us as a club. “We like to have support from local businesses and the fact that they’re a Norfolk-based company is really good for the area and it is good for everyone involved. “I think it is brilliant how they have grown as a company in the last couple of years and not only that, they have also gone from being a sponsor for one of our riders to now being our team sponsor which is great for everyone. “Minors and Brady is a company that is growing and with the partnership that we now have, we can hopefully grow with them and take King’s Lynn on to bigger and better things.” The Stars will launch the new season with their press and practice on Monday, March 16, at the Adrian Flux Arena. All media are welcome to attend with team photos and rider interviews taking place between 12pm - 3pm. Gates will then open for supporters at 6pm with riders out on track between 6.30pm and 8pm, followed by a Q&A session between 8.30pm - 9pm in Champs Bar.
  22. We shall see. They obviously all need to avoid crashes and knocks to have better years.
  23. Admission prices frozen for 2020 according to the club’s social media - good news.
