  1. I’d like to think so too but the three riders who were most disappointing on the road last season are experienced and I’d say the chances of them suddenly clicking on other tracks is fairly slim. We all get emotionally attached to riders especially those who have been around the club for several seasons but if you want to be successful sometimes it’s necessary to be ruthless.
  2. Some continuity is good but two or three fresh faces are too IMO. Bottom line is you can’t have riders averaging 3-4 away from home however good they are at Lynn.
  3. Andersen would be a great addition to the Championship.
  4. I’m sure you’re right but it’s marginal gains, lots of little things which would be really simple to put right could sway somebody the right way if they were umming and ahhing about weather to go. Of course the main factors are VFM, ie quality of racing, atmosphere and price.
  5. Wouldn’t leave an awful lot for the other three though.
  6. Not sure Swedish speedway is the best example to use at the moment? Anyway decent up to date music is an easy fix, a quick win. Same with clean, pleasant to use toilets. They are basics which every track should be able to manage. Any little thing which can be done to make a speedway supporter’s evening out a little bit better and make them want to return. Unfortunately I think many promoters are lazy and complacent.
  7. Not particularly relevant as it was seven years ago, completely different rider now.
  8. That’s great but the whole point of the thread is to name the strongest team, so who comes in instead?
  9. I seem to remember it being said at the time (perhaps by r&r?) that Rospiggarna made their changes to save some money but could be wrong. Was odd as at the time he was scoring pretty well. As for his Polish demands I expect what he ends up with will be in between his figure and what the clubs want to pay, it’s called negotiation.
  10. No doubt the day will come when he drops the UK as the vast majority of top riders do but he won’t have GP’s or U21 competitions in 2020 so can’t see him just just doing the continental leagues.
  11. Absolutely Lambert. No brainer. Riss, MPT and Cook would be preferable to stay but not essential if better options were found. Jorgensen, Kerr, Andersen, Porsing and S Lambert to be moved on for me unfortunately, we need fresh blood and better options for away matches. Can’t decide on Proctor having thought about it, his average is extremely attractive even though he is a shadow of the rider he once was.
  12. The majority will end up in the bank accounts of riders and tuners like the Sky money did.
  13. He’s had one poor season, I’d hardly call that going stale. Struggled in every league compared to 2018, it can happen in speedway. He may even have ridden himself out of it but for his two massive crashes. I don’t think a move to Kent would do him any harm but riding at Lynn every week can only be good for his gating while it remains to be so hard to pass there. Also worth remembering that last year was his breakthrough season and he rode for Lynn then so it can’t have been too bad for him.
  14. Nothing wrong with wanting to improve on the team for next year, unfortunately Proctor’s career has only gone one way this season as we saw at Lynn. He will probably get jobs in both leagues next year due to his averages but he is a long way past his best and prone to throwing in random awful rides.
  15. If it’s full of racing like heat 13 from the other night which I saw on social media then it will be well worth buying, superb speedway.
  16. If you mean the Premier League I think a third is being generous. I agree, it’s a bit of a circus which has too much money sloshing around but you can’t argue with the demand for it.
  17. Fingers crossed the track issues are sorted, that they stay sorted and Plymouth thrive in the Championship next year.
  18. A farce maybe but we have a top division which performs in front of multiple full stadiums every week and sells its TV rights for billions!
  19. Not for me, I think you have to try and make teams as even as possible on paper. But I certainly agree with using the champion’s team as the benchmark.
  20. If a team can’t run a fixture because the other promotion refuse multiple dates then maybe the fine should be split 50/50.
  21. Glad to hear it was s good meeting and went the distance, I was put off by the forecast in the end. The Brits looked professionally turned out in the photos I’ve seen. Anders Rowe will be in demand for 2020 I’m sure.
  22. Luckily it seems we don’t have to worry about Ford and his rule bending in our league next year
