  1. Have seen plenty of inferior meetings to that on telly, including from Poole. Yes there were some errors which you’d expect on a tight track which had taken rain but there were genuine overtakes too. Not a classic but not bad either.
  2. I like to wait and see rather than going round stating who will score what.
  3. STARS BOSS IN RALLY CRY Tuesday August 13, 2019 KING’S Lynn boss Peter Schroeck is urging everyone at the club to stick together in their play-off bid. Schroeck was rocked by the news that Craig Cook is suspended for 12 days after an incident at Eastbourne last week – and that means the GB ace misses a staggering three home meetings. With Robert Lambert still on the sidelines with vertebrae injuries, Schroeck says his side will be up against it when they face Wolverhampton at the Adrian Flux Arena on Thursday. “We weren’t expecting the news on Craig at all and the first I knew about it was when it appeared on the Speedway Control Bureau website,” he said. “I won’t comment on that any further because we need to focus all our thoughts on Thursday and of course it’s a crushing blow to be without Craig and Robert. “We are currently working on our team plans and looking at what options we have but I must say in a league of seven clubs you don’t have many options when it comes to booking guests. “Now we need to stick together and get behind the boys. Wolverhampton will be thinking this is a great chance for them to win but we will have other ideas, trust me. “We’ll update further when we have concrete team news but it just seems everything is being thrown at us right now.”
  4. I don’t know why we bother riding meetings, let’s save ourselves the trouble and just get foreverblue to decide who would score what, job done.
  5. Others will disagree but for me out third division is essentially a training league and the more riders who are able to step up to the second tier the better, it means the National League is doing it’s job well. And surely if there is a clash then the senior league is where the rider should be, where his development will be best served. I recognise that the NL club will miss said rider, would they get a guest as things stand or R/R? Perhaps guests need to be granted more widely to cover riders who have progressed to the Championship.
  6. Porsing was poor last night but I’d suspect he hasn’t ridden anything that small and tight since he was last over here and with the track a bit damp and greasy he really struggled, looked like his bike was set up incorrectly too. Not making excuses but providing a few reasons why he was off the pace. Would like to think he will go better when Lynn are there, and we really need him to step up at Poole and Belle Vue. As well as Thursday night of course.
  7. Perhaps he declined as he disagrees with depriving a youngster the chance of being a reserve. Whoever decided on King and Harris wants shooting.
  8. That’s just bad luck though, could easily have worked the other way in that Vissing could have been a track specialist who Swindon would struggle to replace. Has very little to do with Swindon (or Lynn with Cook) so a facility has to be granted, don’t see the alternative.
  9. None so blind as those who don’t wish to see.
  10. I wouldn’t believe everything you read on a P’boro thread.
  11. R/R certainly won’t work every time at home or at all away, if decent guests can’t be found then a temporary signing needs to happen. Puk would be ideal of course. You'd have thought that if there was any prospect of Robert returning soon he wouldn’t have ruled himself out of the next GP.
  12. Unfortunately the jeopardy of the away team gaining an away point and in the process denying the home team a third point was removed by Jon Cook et al a few years ago, completely bonkers idea as the original system worked well and led to more last heat cliff hangers.
  13. Absolutely no surprise that this happened at Eastbourne, have been there several times over the years supporting Lynn and there is always the feeling that something is brewing. Add Jon Cook into that and it’s little wonder it happened there.
  14. Looks like several others could get punished too if Cook does going by that video.
  15. They’ve had to have helmets on at Lynn for years, I assume it varies from council to council and safety certificates etc.
  16. I’m not quite sure what your expectations were but I don’t think either failed to deliver, they have won races and reached semi finals and a final which isn’t bad for young riders. It’s s tough, tough series with no room for error and I think they have both done ok.
  17. And if you are thinking those things based on the other night and what you’ve read/seen that’s fair enough. But there are people who don’t like him and couldn’t wait to wade in on him on the threads as soon as they got a whiff of what went on. He’s done wrong and been a silly billy but it’s been blown way out of proportion as things usually are on here.
  18. Unfortunately there are too many people on this thread and the Eastbourne one with an agenda and using their pre existing opinion of Cook to form their view without looking at the incident for what it was.

  20. If P’boro have a full side with a decent guest for Bates they can beat anyone at home.
  21. It was an off night for them, every team has them. They are up the top and virtually in the Play Offs already because they have been very good all season, they shouldn’t be judged on one meeting. Don’t forget they have comfortably beaten us three times at the Foxhole and got a draw last time at Lynn as well as various other good performances throughout the season. You just wonder if they are running out of steam at the wrong time but I don’t think they are or should be looking to make changes. Maybe because that doesn’t appear to be what happened.
  22. I think the video proves this is all a bit of a storm in a teacup and most of the reports on Saturday night were wildly exaggerated. I expect a fine but don’t see there being the ban that many seem to be salivating for.
  23. There is often a team who has a lot of momentum at the business end of the season and if Wolves make the top four it will be them.
  24. R/R scored paid eleven so it made little difference to be fair. Didn't see that one coming at all, as has been said you wonder if Ipswich are running out of puff at the business end of the season.
