Premiership - King’s Lynn v Swindon - 01/07/2019

It wasn’t a great spectacle but heats 13 and 14 were pretty good too. Far too much FTG though as per. Nice to catch up with several people I hadn’t seen for a while! -

Bickley doesn’t possess the experience that the Poole reserves do, he might well score a few points but nobody would be surprised or knock him if he didn’t. It’s all very well knowing a track but you have to be in amongst it around the first two bends or you can get tailed off as a young rider, and that’s not knocking the lad who is going to be very good in the future. -

For me it’s one of the worst things about speedway in recent seasons. Injuries spoil meetings as contests, keep people waiting around for ambulances and litter teams with guests and R/R. That’s without thinking about the effects both long and short term of the riders themselves. -

Absolutely, I’m talking about a new signing rather than guests. Pretty clear that Lambert will be in the team tomorrow, according to Neil Watson he’s still in the declared 1-7 anyway until Nicol’s paperwork comes through. -

Don’t think we’ll miss Nicol at home in the short term as Lambert is a reasonably good number seven round Lynn but it’s a completely different story away so if Nicol is likely to miss many away matches I’d be looking to sign somebody else at least in the short term until he’s fit. -

Dropped for not scoring away, was very good at home. That said I’m not interested in getting involved in the stronger/weaker nonsense. -

Poland should win this with their eyes closed but you never know. Lambert and Bewley would probably have to go unbeaten for GB to stand any chance at all. -
Guests not allowed for riders who haven’t made their debut so I’d imagine it’s a case to reverting to the previous declared number seven until Nicol is ready.

Poole vs BV. Premiership. 27/06/19

More to the point why does anybody take anything that ouch says seriously? I’ve always wondered muppet or wind up merchant, I’m currently swaying towards the latter. -
Lambert for one home match wouldn’t be an issue, as long as Nicol is in for the next away meeting. Want to see him on Monday night though!
-
Yep, narrow. I know he’s not at reserve straight away, that’s why I said AT SOME POINT ie when BWD returns and if he does drop to reserve he’ll be a good signing.
-
In your narrow, hard-done-to mind perhaps BUT I’d suggest any team in the league would be happy to have him at reserve.
-
Have a gold star. Presumably Proctor will end up at reserve at some point? Good signing if so. If there was any prospect of that at Lynn I’m sure he’d have stayed.

MPT would be a no brainer if he fits. -
Indeed, his last couple of scores had been much better before last night so you’d like to think he’s getting back to where he should be. With lots of home meetings left I’d not be looking to replace him but Proctor and Jorgensen can’t complain if they were given the heave ho. MPT too to a lesser extent who has been pretty ordinary since moving up from reserve.
