  1. Doesn't really matter who was or wasn't to blame, or which track it was at even; the wider issue is that yet again the paying customer has been shat on from a great height by a British speedway track / event. People have every right to boo! It's almost like nobody in charge ir who rides really gives a toss any more.
  2. You can't just pluck riders of his quality out if thin air though can you? One would imagine the club thinks it will improve as the weeks go on and he will be fitter for the Play Offs. Would explain why he has struggled at home on the grippy surface and wasn't happy with the track as Poole which hasn't been smooth in recent years.
  3. Not necessarily.....if Somerset win narrowly and Lynn are able to thrash Wolves at home on the same night we would go top.
  4. I think we need to top the league and hope Poole go out in the other semi to have a chance.
  5. Sorry didn't make that very clear, I meant that I had already mentioned how slow Robert was and as a separate point it was alarming how far behind Niels was in heat 11. Thank you for sharing the comments about the wind, can appreciate how difficult that was but apart from rain it should be possible to keep the starts the same every week whatever the weather so we are at least able to make good starts as a matter of course. As entertaining as close meetings are we need to be able to score 50+ at home going forward as that is what other teams do.
  6. Agree with the above, Belle Vue deserved a point if not more and we really got out of jail. There were obviously set up issues for our men all night, have already mentioned Robert and Niels was quarter of a lap behind in heat eleven.....if we have any chance of winning anything then track man and riders need to be on the same page, we can't go into the Play Offs 'chasing set ups'.
  7. Yep I thought Worrall and Fricke both got second in the first and last races. Racing wise it was a poor meeting but the scores kept it interesting. Inside line far too good tonight and most races were strung out after the first lap. Lynn's top two came up trumps in the two big heats but were way off colour before that, havent seen Lambert that slow for a long time.
  8. Imperative that we follow up last night's win with another at home tomorrow. Will be close just last night.
  9. Which I respect. Out of interest though why would you have left Bewley out?
  10. I think it would take a brave team manager to leave an unbeaten rider out of the nominated heat.
  11. Dire as a racetrack maybe but smooth, consistent and free of holes, ruts and bumps. Meaning all four riders can go flat out with confidence rather than worrying about being thrown off course.
  12. Can understand why Lemon went for Tungate target than Fricke in the decider as Fricke had been 5-1'd in 13 and Tungate won 14. Close call though and no doubt if Fricke had been in it and finished last people would be asking why Tungate wasn't nominated.....
  13. Another good away result, just a pity that the Dorset hell hole is the one track we can't seem to ride. And should we get to the Play Offs we'll almost certainly have to go there. Proctor and Jorgensen need to up their game on the road, although I appreciate that they were both carrying injuries.
  14. The two engine rooms proving to be the difference this evening.
  15. I like Garrity, yes he falls off too often but he's not frightened to get stuck in and is exciting to watch. However Riss is a better option right now and makes us stronger.
  16. Good signing, especially as it puts MPT at reserve. I'm just wondering how a team with the second best away record in the league can be described as poor. Must just be me.
  17. The way I see it, nobody is forced to donate.
  18. You'd like to think that Proctor, Jorgensen and Garrity can score a few between them, they are all racers who should be at home at the best racetrack in the country. Would take a point but no reason why we can't win if enough riders turn up, and that's no slight on Belle Vue who are a good side. You coming down Wednesday Phil?
  19. I agree. Why didn't he pick Grajczonek, Klindt, Jakobsen and Woryna too? Rosco out.
  20. I would imagine it's a pretty grudge from when Lambert rode for Peterborough and cheesed a few pussycat supporters off. Long since water under the bridge.
