  1. Love them or hate them Poole are setting the benchmark at the moment and last night we fell an alarmingly long way short. Even with the first choice reserves back next week this team looks a signing or two short of the required standard due to the patchy form of key riders. One doubts whether the resources and will to change things is there unfortunately. As for the comments of Lambert and Puk, both are entitled to their say and neither we're anything to do with sour grapes or sore losing but it's another example of how most people on Twitter are thick and don't actually read and understand what is written but just pile in with stupid comments. Robert's comments weren't even about the quality of the racing surface. Anyway time to regroup for two tough matches against the Aces next week.
  2. I think Blobby is probably green with envy that Glasgow are hosting this and thought he'd stir the pot a bit.
  3. None of the Aussie team ride CL and nor does Woffy so can't agree with that. Looks like two evenly matched sides to me, should be good.
  4. Word on the street is that Kasper Andersen will be back for Lynn next Monday.
  5. Fair enough, neither great but I'm sure I can remember Drodz winning races at Rye House and Wolves and showing a bit of promise on unfamiliar tracks as well as suffering a few falls. This 'scapegoat' talk is just silly, the Aces are obviously just trying to strengthen up a bit away from home and unfortunately tough choices have to be made.
  6. Not just Lynn fans though is it? So don't make it about clubs and allegiances. It's more about common sense and seeing the bigger picture, and considering and discussing the circumstances rather than just seeing things in black and white. The lad has been riding four or more times a week almost all season, more experienced riders than he have suffered burn out at this stage of the year and some have even opted out of the SWC to prevent it happening. I expect this was his only window to have a short battery recharge hence why a holiday was booked probably weeks and weeks ago. As I have said all along it is disappointing and less than ideal that he won't be there but understandable. And the positive is that somebody else gets an opportunity to show what they can do.
  7. Drodz has more potential than Etheridge and has shown more promise away from home, would be daft to get shot of him. Riss will be better away from home than Etheridge and that is where Belle Vue need to improve to finish top four.
  8. Sarjeant no thanks, and with all due respect to Stefan if we had he and Garrity at reserve you'd be wondering who is going to get injured first, they both seem to suffer more than their fair share.
  9. What's Etheridge's away average? Very modest I'd imagine. Probably harsh but I agree that Riss will make the Aces slightly stronger and when it comes to getting into Play Offs and trying to win league titles tough calls have to be made.
  10. At least you have a motorway going past your track though rather than the A17 and country lanes
  11. I think it says it all that only one person is being negative about it. It's all about the context IMO, Robert has probably ridden in more meetings than anyone else in world speedway this year with four leagues, GP qualifying, world U21 rounds, Euro Champs and individual meetings including Cardiff. If this test match had been in the calendar from day one he'd have ridden but for the sake of the rest of his season he obviously needs the break. Things aren't always black and white.
  12. Porsing had an awful lot more meetings to show that he wasn't going to get any better than Andersen has, Kasper has missed many matches this year through injury and riding in Denmark.
  13. I was only five then so no can't remember that! In this case it's a hastliy arranged test match and the situation has been handled sensibly. If it had been in the calendar all along thst would be a different matter.
  14. Wow. I don't think you are ever going to stop following brum round, laughing to yourself or ruining threads so for the sake of everyone's sanity I'll leave that one there and steer clear in future.
  15. Not quite the whole story.....he already had a short holiday booked on a rare blank weekend for him and feels he needs that break. Not ideal but understandable considering all the meetings he has done this year in various competitions.
  16. Why do you feel the need to follow brum around and pick on him like a school bully?
  17. That's the dilemma, Simon is what he is and won't ever get any better, will pop out of the gate and score a few at Lynn but offers virtually nothing away, while Kasper is young and potentially could improve and has scored a few points away. Think we just need to hope that Garrity clicks into gear and doesn't get injured again.
  18. Out of interest who would you have at reserve tomorrow night if you were in charge?
  19. He looked all at sea with the grip last night but I would expect him to be better at Poole.
  20. Poole certainly look favourites at the moment but plenty can change between now and Play Offs. Depends if other clubs have the resources to make the changes which could make the difference.
  21. I see that Daniel has had a reply from Dale on Twitter regarding Riss, unfortunately he can't be bothered to travel down from Edinburgh to race in the Premiership.

  23. The reserved look like the big difference here.....if we can gate well I would suggest that the top fives will be evenly matched but unless Newman can roll back the years then our reserves are going to get absolutely slaughtered by Woryna and Jakobsen.
