  1. Forgot to say how good it was to hear from Josh Bailey during the meeting, he spoke very well for one so young. Good to hear he will be back on a bike soon.
  2. Can't have him at number seven so presumably you'd chuck out Rose? As he wouldn't be an improvement on any of the others.
  3. Pretty simple, Lynn is now a stock car stadium which occasionally holds speedway meetings. The shale used is perfect for cars but doesn't lend itself to good speedway unfortunately.....the team was highly fancied at the start of the season and really should be winning every week at home but hasn't performed as it should be. As somebody has said people like a winning team or good racing, but they will struggle to tolerate neither. The length of the meeting last night (and last week) was disappointing as so far this season they have hurried things up considerably. I don't have a problem with 10-15 minutes of track work after each block of five races as long as the heats are run quickly and we start at bang on quarter to eight and something is happening while the tractors are going round to entertain people.
  4. They seemed to have sorted the running time of meetings at the beginning of the season but the last couple have taken far, far too long.
  5. If that's the case then Holders 'average fiddling' is a fantastically elaborate plan as it involves poor scoring in Sweden, Poland and the GP's too. All to ride for a promoter he doesn't even get on with? They were both released due to availability, no point having riders who are going to miss the majority of your home meetings through riding abroad.
  6. Would be there if it was a Friday meeting, can't do a 300 mile round trip on a school night though!
  7. Quite agree, you shouldn't be allowed a tactical at home. If you are poor enough to be ten down on your own circuit then tough breast. That said it livened up what was a dour contest until that point, track far too dry early on. Lynn can't keep gating like that at home, only one win each for the top three isn't anywhere near good enough. Huckenbeck was very good and Jorgensen seems to have something about him (very unlucky in heat five) but the rest were far too inconsistent. Good to meet Phil the Ace at the end, well done on a deserved victory.
  8. Exactly chaps, an embarrassment of riches. Kurtz will surely be reserve but no one could k d argue if Morris or Fricke were included.
  9. I'm not sure he is on the way down necessarily, seems to have rekindled his career this year at Redcar.
  10. In speedway terms I guess that is part of being outclassed.
  11. I saw no lack of appetite or effort last week, just a meeting where we were completely outclassed.
  12. Yep you are right, I was looking at the wrong figures. Can't be long until someone signs him after last night's performance.
  13. Australia have an embarrassment of riches, they could probably enter two teams at Lynn and finish first & second. You'd imagine they will go Doyle, Holder, Batch and Masters but at least three of the others can stake a strong claim.
  14. Barker is one of the names I'd thought of, along with Wolbert.
  15. Yes but the person to which you refer is a comedy poster, created purely to get bites. Amazing that people actually get drawn into replying to it. Just can't get my head around people wallowing in the fact that the team of others have lost, thought we were all a bit more mature than that.
  16. Very little around who would have fitted and not a name I had thought of but he has started the season quite well and knows the tracks lets see how he goes.
  17. Same old people trolling on the same old threads week after week. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  18. You would imagine clubs are a bit reluctant because his Polish team could click their fingers at any time and he would have to go running, and that could mean no more UK.
  19. Away wins are never easy no matter the opposition, the way I see it three points is a great result and the fourth point is an absolute bonus. Little wonder Glasgow couldn't get that extra point with Robert piling up a six ride max.
  20. Harris may not have had the best meeting today but he is a great addition to the league and will put bums on seats wherever he goes.
  21. There are so many team spots, inevitable that some riders will be left by the wayside. Feel for Jacobs though as a Brit. Agree about Shanes, needs giving an average as anybody who uses him as a guest at seven starts with a big advantage. The Vatcher thing is very childish though.
