  1. I wouldn't want Wolbert back, was far too inconsistent last time. Although there wouldn't be the priority issue with him that there would be with others.
  2. Pretty obvious that if you sack Holder, you go with a much more solid line up and strong reserves so no 'big name number one' is required. Two Championship riders would come in for Holder and Bailey.
  3. Indeed. Poor racing + a losing team = declining crowds. They need to sort at least one of the issues, preferably both.
  4. You could have come round here for tea Chris Will be interesting to see how this plays out and what Eastbourne have to say.
  5. Speedway in the UK desperately needs to sort itself out, whether that be better fixture planning, changes in race night or ridding itself of riders who aren't 100% committed to our league above all other competitions. People are sick to the back teeth of missing riders.
  6. Agreed but the issue is whether he can be bothered or not, if he is 'in the mix' and putting in effort then he is. He should be winning races in Poland and GP's too, there is obviously something not right generally with him. If it was just in the UK that he was struggling it would be a different matter.
  7. Personally I don't regret Rory moving on, I think he had become stale at Lynn at you always had the feeling that the next big smash was only just round the corner. Both he and Bjerre were old hat at Lynn and needed pastures new which seem to be working for them. Best for all parties that they moved on.
  8. The argument about it being an ex rider is weak when, as pointed out elsewhere, Peter Adams, Rob Lyon, Ian Thomas etc weren't riders and have all been very successful. Dale might be the problem, he might not but people are guessing that he is. He's not responsible for Holder's failings this season unless he's there with him in Poland and the GP's too and that is where 75% of the problems lie. It's all doom and gloom but get Holder going and a number seven in who can contribute more and things will look a lot brighter. I wouldn't necessarily disagree with giving Holder the heave ho but can't see it happening.
  9. Indeed, my point was more of a general one referring to his season as a whole so far. He gets round Lynn ok but hasn't scored over seven there yet.
  10. Whoever is signed if changes are made needs to be available for most of the fixtures otherwise it's a waste of time. Don't think Holder is taking the p!ss as he is pony everywhere at the moment.
  11. Thoroughly predictable. All the pre season optimism has pretty much evaporated. I don't think the side is that bad but without a number one scoring a dozen or more every week it magnifies any issues lower down. This team was built around a world class number one and a strong senior reserve, tonight we had neither and that's the result. As for the Olly Allen suggestions, I would like to know what makes him such a good candidate for TM and if those credentials are so appealing then why he hasn't got a job elsewhere.
  12. Seems lessons still haven't been learned from last year.
  13. I'm damn sure he'd stand more chance of scoring points than a rider who has failed at anything above NL level.
  14. With respect I trust Buster and Rob's judgement over yours.
  15. Dan Bewleys average is far too high to guest for Josh. Halsey is guessing for Huckenbeck (a joke I know) so maybe it's him.
  16. Think that might be the first of many big home wins for the Colts.
  17. It's a pity that more and more matches are being decided by guests and absent riders before a wheel has even been turned.
  18. Pretty poor that the knives are out for Dale when we've just won. Haza's post probably summed it up, some people didn't want him getting the job in the first place. Whatever he does won't be good enough for those people. Good to win and thank you to the guests for their points. Presumably the OTA didn't agree with Niklas' GTR.....
  19. With Riss at reserve and their heatleader power Edinburgh can win anywhere, not sure why some of their fans are downplaying their chances so much.
  20. Win every race emphatically by a country mile?! Have you seen Holders scores this season
  21. One would hope that the team containing five Brits can defeat the one tracking one and a half
  22. Can only speak as I have found and he was excellent for Lynn in 2003 as well as on the majority of visits as a visiting rider. Remember a great performance in the 2007 ELRC at Lynn when the track started of a little less than ideal. Happy retirement.
