  1. He was at reserve tonight. If he had just been carp for Lynn the OP might have a point but as he has been poor everywhere then no.
  2. For Lynn in my lifetime it would have to be the 2000 team in the top flight who lost out on the league title that night at Eastbourne, and for the second tier a toss up between the 2006 and 2009 teams which both won the treble.
  3. As was my reply which referenced it. Aren't 99% of posts on here tongue in cheek
  4. A tongue in cheek reply to what you said about losing a plum bank holiday and others saying that it was called off because of Nicholls not getting there in time and therefore Wolves being scared of the 'Poole juggernaut'.....
  5. Don't be silly, the whole speedway world revolves around Poole you know. It's all about them!
  6. A much tougher test than the OP is making out. Narrow home win.
  7. How many teams truly have seven riders in the points?
  8. As well as that it's a chance to see one of the most exciting young sides assembled in the third tier.
  9. This is going to be very close, no Freddie is a big blow for Wolves and Poole have a habit of digging in deep when they need to. Klindt should get a hatful at reserve and no KK helps Poole although I'm sure they'd rather have Holder than R/R. 46-44.
  10. I couldn't care less if he makes people 'sit up and take notice' or not, it's all about scoring a few points each week and helping the team. The season is going reasonably well so far and this should improve things a little bit more, especially at home.
  11. I don't think anyone is to blame, it's just how the league has evolved. As somebody has mentioned the second division is now more expensive than ever as the calibre of riders and admission costs show, in an ideal world Cradley, Brum, Eastie & Lakeside would be Championship clubs but circumstances don't allow it at present. You can't blame these clubs for wanting to win the National League and that inevitably means outspending the smaller teams who then have to feed off the crumbs left over.
  12. Any one of those top eight could win it. Great stuff. Have seen worse GP's but also many better ones.
  13. Read the press release, he has been struggling with his shoulder. Had to miss Scunny's first match having only just had the metalwork out of it. Josh will be back.
  14. Cradley can't move up without their own track I believe.
  15. You would imagine the club concerned wants to announce it when they are ready rather than what you've just said.
  16. Maybe there needs to be something in between the NL and the MDL etc for clubs like Lynn and Buxton. Teams like Cradley, Brum and Eastie are almost too big for the NL in its current form but not big enough for the Championship, perhaps the third tier needs to be for these bigger clubs and a fourth tier created for the smaller ones with a few more senior clubs running junior sides like Belle Vue and Lynn have been.
  17. I think it was either 85 or 86 when Lynn went through the whole season without winning a single home meeting and only won one away. Vaguely remember them spending big on Mark Courtney and Paul Woods for that season and both being crap.
  18. I'd say Niklas has been a little disappointing so far but there is a good rider in there somewhere and a spell at reserve might kick start his season.
  19. It's all about bagging the points at this stage, absolutely no sense in peaking until September.
  20. The only average that matters is the one in October which has been earned over a whole season.
  21. The only one under that figure who would have been a better bet is Matt Williamson, and I assume as a Belle Vue asset he would have been ringfenced anyway. Looking at his Worky scores so far he may have been a decent shout at number seven.
  22. I think the difference is that Rose has potential improvement left in him whereas Lindgren peaked a long time ago.
