  1. For the millionth time people are fed up with the system, not the team(s) taking advantage of it.
  2. There is wrapping yourself up in cotton wool and then there is making sensible and mature choices less than a month before the season starts. If it was a Lynn rider I'd be rather peeved.
  3. As a general point I don't think there is any excuse for poor customer service and not putting those who pay to use your business and therefore keep it afloat first, second and third. Whatever the shortcomings of that business are excellent customer service should be an absolute minimum. It's a no brainer. 'Customers are not an interruption of our work, they are the purpose of it'.
  4. Won't wind my neck in cheers, it's a forum to give opinions As for the West Brom players, every book available should have been thrown at them for that.
  5. Doesn't show Bates or speedway in a very good light IMO, how many athletes of other sports would be pratting about like this a month before their season starts? Unprofessional.
  6. For a start hopefully everything that Woffinden says that they should be doing and currently are not. Make it a much more professional set up with proper training schedules and a progression path right through to the first team with regular meetings on the continent.
  7. If not Batch then Tungate I'd have thought? As poolebolton says though whoever is in form at the time.
  8. Batchelor must be a shoe in with how he rides Belle Vue.
  9. This thread has become an embarrassment. Have a word with yourselves!
  10. Have a look at Belle Vue on Google Maps starman and compare it to Swindon and Berwick and almost any other big track apart from Peterborough, it's much rounder and has bends which are far longer and more sweeping. It really doesn't need shortening.
  11. But surely you put an opinion on a public forum knowing that somebody at some point will probably challenge it? Especially when it goes against the grain so much. If you can't be bothered with the hassle surely you wouldn't give that opinion in the first place
  12. Indeed, Belle Vue is almost the perfect shape and size for a speedway track and provides proper fast speedway racing like nowhere else in the UK.
  13. As per usual Mr Mungo, that post is a thing of beauty.
  14. It looks like a team full of potential and risks, could struggle in the lower reaches or be dark horses for honours.
  15. Exactly, Buster and co have made a dog's breakfast of the job but they are the latest in a long line of chairmen and committees to do the same.
  16. There's not an awful lot in there to be disagreed with really, one or two little things but he makes many good points. The top three look way ahead if the rest but after that it's fairly tight.
  17. Not sure Ryan is ready for the Championship yet but would be good to see him get a chance to impress.
  18. Presumably the line from Harkess that the loss of the main sponsor might lead to a rethink on the final rider hasn't proved to be the case?
  19. I'd have thought Polish tracks would generate slightly higher speeds because they generally have longer straights.....while tracks like Sheffield, P'boro & Belle Vue are flat out they all have a lot of bend compared to many in Poland. Straight line speed is what will generate the higher mph's.
  20. But always a strong reserve, something most people seem to ignore. Could even be two if Andersen comes off. That said we do look 8th strongest, although I don't think there is too much in it 4th - 8th.
  21. While I see Sheffield as a top half side they don't strike me on paper as being in the top two or three, not sure what people are seeing that I'm not with all due respect.
  22. I'd like to think this team will hold its own at home at least. So as long as the racing is decent and things are over and done with in a reasonable time there shouldn't be too many complaints.
  23. Thats exactly what I am saying Sid, words mean very little. It's all about the quality of the night out starting on April 4th. I'm sure the club are under no illusions that they have to pull their socks up but whatever they come out and say before then is irrelevant if the racing and VFM isn't good. Silimarly the disgruntled punters now need to give them the opportunity to get it right.
