  1. 'Masters unhappy crossing finishing line' Meanwhile the grass on the centre green is, er, green
  2. I'm sure we hear this every year, wouldn't be surprised if he moves on one day or drops Britain but speculation always seems to be incorrect.
  3. I think it's no coincidence that Cook has flourished by riding the NSS track on Friday nights rather than Armadale, it's been the making of him and has improved his scores on foreign soil no end. Whether he gets into the GP's or not you would like to think that Poland and Sweden will both offer him regular racing so he can improve a bit more, which he won't do in our Championship. A good display(s) at Lezno in the SWC will help to that end too.
  4. The rule book stuff goes without saying, but the real culprits are those who let them get away with it.
  5. It's difficult to fathom why the Poole track has had these problems for so long now when every other aspect of what the club does seems to be so professional.
  6. Bomber scored a straight fifteen max in his one Lynn appearance this year. That includes several passes, overtaking is difficult nowadays but not impossible. King has always been pretty good at Lynn whereas it's been a while since Scott looked really good there. He is very much a small track man nowadays.
  7. Indeed, one wouldn't be surprised if it was true but people on here tend to follow any old piece of information like sheep and are only too eager to share their outrage whether it's confirmed or not. Anyway good to see a team place given to a youngster rather than be clogged up by a has been.
  8. You are all assuming that what Hall says is the truth of course.
  9. Precisely. You put those thirteen riders on a track like Belle Vue, Somerset, P'boro or Scunny and you instantly have a massively better meeting.
  10. I accept that but one or two people are nowhere to be seen on here when things are going well. Balanced opinions are the most respected ones in my experience.
  11. The most likely scenario was that he was told to have Monday off, especially if there was a chance of him riding tonight where there are league points on offer.
  12. I think the weather tomorrow will render that moot.
  13. Lol, if only life was that black and white. I can't believe you are being that naive.
  14. What is his issue with Lynn more like. Only ever whinges nowadays.
  15. Yup, if he had fallen the night before and broken his wrist and had the SWC coming that weekend. Would say the same for any rider.
  16. Possibly if last night's tie was all to play for and it wasn't a demanding track like Wolves. But nearing those things in mind it was no surprise he missed the meeting. Having taken four rides in Sweden tonight I'll be a bit miffed if he doesn't ride tomorrow though.
  17. Exactly and Wolves is a tight track, much harder on the wrists than Kumla. Or Belle Vue or Lynn for that matter.
  18. If you say his wrist isn't broken then I reckon we should all believe you rather than whichever medical professional diagnosed the fracture. You're no Lynn fan if you are calling for an injured Stars rider to get a ban.
  19. It's not though is it, completely different track last night compared to this and last night was more or less a dead rubber. I'm surprised he rode tonight but is obviously trying to prove his fitness for Saturday. Not sure if it's wise riding with broken bones and his score tonight would suggest he is struggling with it, not sure either Lynn tomorrow night or GB on Saturday will benefit from him riding. Steve Worrall missed Newcastle's home defeat the day before riding in the British Final and I can't remember any of their fans jumping up and down calling for 28 day bans. The only joke on here is you, only present when there is something to moan and groan about.
  20. Bit dangerous to be judging how much of a fan somebody is by how many meetings they are able to attend.
  21. I think we can safely say he is struggling with his injuries tonight, can't see him riding tomorrow and he'd be daft to try on Saturday.
  22. Not surprising on a tight track in what was pretty much a dead rubber, and not entirely dissimilar to Worrall last weekend.
  23. I quite fancied a win for Lynn until Lambert fell off on Sunday, should still be able to keep it close though.
  24. Not saying Wolves were busting a gut necessarily but that's an encouraging display against arguably the best team in the league on the track least suited to our skills. Hopefully they can take that into Wednesday at Belle Vue.
