  1. Whoever is signed if changes are made needs to be available for most of the fixtures otherwise it's a waste of time. Don't think Holder is taking the p!ss as he is pony everywhere at the moment.
  2. Thoroughly predictable. All the pre season optimism has pretty much evaporated. I don't think the side is that bad but without a number one scoring a dozen or more every week it magnifies any issues lower down. This team was built around a world class number one and a strong senior reserve, tonight we had neither and that's the result. As for the Olly Allen suggestions, I would like to know what makes him such a good candidate for TM and if those credentials are so appealing then why he hasn't got a job elsewhere.
  3. Seems lessons still haven't been learned from last year.
  4. I'm damn sure he'd stand more chance of scoring points than a rider who has failed at anything above NL level.
  5. With respect I trust Buster and Rob's judgement over yours.
  6. Dan Bewleys average is far too high to guest for Josh. Halsey is guessing for Huckenbeck (a joke I know) so maybe it's him.
  7. Think that might be the first of many big home wins for the Colts.
  8. It's a pity that more and more matches are being decided by guests and absent riders before a wheel has even been turned.
  9. Pretty poor that the knives are out for Dale when we've just won. Haza's post probably summed it up, some people didn't want him getting the job in the first place. Whatever he does won't be good enough for those people. Good to win and thank you to the guests for their points. Presumably the OTA didn't agree with Niklas' GTR.....
  10. With Riss at reserve and their heatleader power Edinburgh can win anywhere, not sure why some of their fans are downplaying their chances so much.
  11. Win every race emphatically by a country mile?! Have you seen Holders scores this season
  12. One would hope that the team containing five Brits can defeat the one tracking one and a half
  13. Can only speak as I have found and he was excellent for Lynn in 2003 as well as on the majority of visits as a visiting rider. Remember a great performance in the 2007 ELRC at Lynn when the track started of a little less than ideal. Happy retirement.
  14. Very rarely been a happy hunting ground for Lynn. Now that Wolves have made changes and run into some better form I can't see anything other than a comfortable home win.
  15. Seems he had one of those nights, down to earth with a bump after Wednesdays triumph. It happens, has the opportunity to get back into the groove at Somerset tonight. Redcar look handy, if they can get Busch back and replace Hall with a half decent youngster they could be in the shake up come September.
  16. This should be a good away track for Lynn really, would expect us to be getting a point at least despite the Rebels being very strong at home. Need a good result somewhere to kick start the season.
  17. From Somerset site: The Cases Somerset Rebels will look to put last Fridays home defeat at the hands of Swindon behind them when they welcome the Kings Lynn Stars to the Oaktree Arena on Friday (28th) night. This is the return SGB Premiership league fixture between the two sides from when they met at the Adrian Flux Arena at the start of the month, the Norfolk side running out 53-37 winners on the night. Kings Lynn are normally spearheaded by the duo who won the SGB Premiership Pairs crown at the Oaktree Arena at the end of March, namely the 2012 World Champion, Chris Holder, and young British star, Robert Lambert, but with Saturday seeing the opening round of Speedways World Championship Grand Prix series taking place in Slovenia, it means that Holder will be absent from the Kings Lynn line-up as official practice for the meeting takes place that same day, and so the Stars have book Craig Cook, the current Oaktree Arena track record holder, as a guest replacement. The Kings Lynn top 5 is completed Lewis Rose, who had a short spell with Somerset at the end of the 2013 season, Dane Niklas Porsing and the 2013 Australian Champion Troy Batchelor, while at reserve the Stars track the two-time German Champion, Kai Huckenbeck and another young British rider, Josh Bailey. Somerset will welcome Patrick Hougaard back to their ranks after the Dane missed last Fridays home defeat against Swindon due to him riding in qualifying meeting for the Danish Championship, which, ironically, was rained-off, and team manager Garry May is looking for his team to bounce back from that defeat; There will be no better way than to put the disappointment of last Fridays home defeat behind us than by taking it out on the Stars, he said, whilst at the same time getting revenge for Kings Lynn beating us on their home shale at the beginning of the month. What we need, however, is for the Somerset fans to turn out in force once again to get right behind the boys as they look to get back to winning ways and if the on-track action is half as good as what we saw last Friday, then the crowd are in for another treat. Cases Somerset Rebels v Kings Lynn Stars SGB Premiership Oaktree Arena Friday 28th April Gates Open 6.00pm, Tapes-Up 7.30pm Admission Prices: Adults £16.00, Concessions £14.00, Young Adults (12-18 inclusive) £6.00, Children (6-11 inclusive) £2.00 Children (5 & under) Free. Presumably there is a doubt over Josh Bailey who pulled out of the U21 final last night but nothing on the website about this match at all.
  18. Six non GP Fridays needed to accommodate Lynn, Swindon and Wolves twice each at Somerset between March and September. Surely that could have been managed? Same for Rye and Leicester too.
  19. You are always going to see some strung out racing at every track but we have seen far, far to much of it at Lynn. For whatever reason it's far too easy for the leading rider to pull out a massive lead over the first lap.
