  1. Across a whole season I don't see them being an improvement. Prepared to be proved wrong by October though, we shall see. As somebody as already mentioned there is also the doubling up aspect to consider to and the lack of priority.
  2. Each to their own but I don't see Lasse or MPT as an improvement on Sedgemen.
  3. Exactly. If the racing was Belle Vue esque I don't think people would care how long the meetings took.
  4. Having seen two awful meetings in the last week I'm genuinely envious of what you guys are able to watch each week. We are actually up here at the moment as my in laws live in Manchester but couldn't get up early enough due to work, we will plan a couple of visits later in the season which involve leaving home early enough to take in the speedway. It's a pity that both Lynn visits are on Wednesdays which seems very odd.
  5. Quicker meetings might not add to the entertainment directly but if it's chilly and the racing is toilet surely is better to be able to head home at quarter past nine rather than quarter to ten? No brainer I'd have thought.
  6. No thanks on Clegg, overrated and Edinburgh would have priority.
  7. Closing the throttle into corners = slowing the bikes down
  8. Incredibly defeatist attitude. Although probably just the usual arse covering. If your riders gate well you will win, simple as that.
  9. Semion are you related to Huggy? Or maybe you are Huggy
  10. This is akin to two bald men scrapping over a comb at the moment. Could go either way.
  11. Are Redcar decent for once or are Ipswich flattering to deceive yet again?
  12. Looks perfectly happy off the bike. I just don't think he's that committed to scoring points. Hope I'm wrong and he's just in bad form.
  13. A million miles away from that. They were halcyon days in terms of racing, you used to get last heat deciders every week with Henka and Mark in them and one of those heat 15's back then had more passing than entire meetings nowadays.
  14. Surely having signed for Ipswich first they get priority over Rory?
  15. People keep talking about it being grippy but there was dust from about heat 6. Just can't fathom how a (very good) away side can come to Lynn and gate so much better and look so much faster. In my morning moan I forgot to congratulate Belle Vue, very worthy winners. Also well done to the promotion for having the whole thing done and dusted in 85 minutes, they are obviously listening to their customers on that front. Don't think a 20 min interval is unreasonable. Also good to hear Gavin on the mic trying to lift the atmosphere.
  16. I think part of the trouble semmers is the shale used, it's just not conducive to good speedway. Seems to suit the stock cars which are the cash cow for the stadium and take priority. The need to sort the racing is pretty massive, crowds will dwindle to very few eventually if people keep turning up for follow the leader stuff.
  17. We looked awful tonight. Should still make the Play Offs but were light years behind Belle Vue. It's all about getting Holder and Huckenbeck going and at this moment I'm not sure they will, although still early days
  18. Look at me everybody, look at me.
  19. Slick, grippy, it seems to make little difference. Seems like a long, long time since we saw a decent meeting at Lynn. Can't remember seeing riders so strung out after a even one lap so much. Was quite vocal about the lack of entertainment on Saturday at Rye but that was probably worse. Time for Buster to consider a change of track shape, he has Carte Blanche to take the white line in as far as he wants as we desperately need more racing lines. Fourteen drag races just isn't good VFM, was absolutely perfect for good gaters like Cook and Worrall. Young Bewley looks like he is going to be the real deal despite his low score. For Lynn only Holder knows if he really wants to be racing in Britain but I suspect not, his bike was so slow. Only really Batchelor and Bailey got pass marks really, same old problems for Lambert of dreadful gating and Huckenbecks body language on the bike when he gets a bit out of shape is awful, he has probably thrown away five points last night and Saturday and needs to get it sorted if he is going to be the trump card reserve most of us thought.
  20. A cold evening may dictate the gripiness of the track.
  21. Kyle Howarth has so far been much better than I expected for Wolves.
  22. This is going to be mighty tough, Belle Vue look like THE team to beat pre average fiddling / changes so wouldn't be surprised if they went away with the points.
