Saddlebow Road is always two coats cooler than anywhere else in the vicinity!

That's a jealous rant if ever there was one 😁

Maybe not as much as it was, but still louder and smellier than your front room. Plus you get to socialise on the terraces. However promoters need to make the effort to get people to come when it's on telly. Apart from play offs I don't go to Lynn meetings on TV out of principle because no effort is made by the promotion.
-
Personally I think a carp meeting looks worse on telly than live. At least it's loud and smelly if you're there.
-
I'd had that thought too but Ipswich will have priority over King. Once all countries have published fixtures, if a club rearranges a meeting and riders aren't available then tough titty.
-
How many clashes are there likely to be? If it's several I'd say knickers to them and sign somebody else.

It is the speedway that counts Trees, but we need to be seeing nine or ten good races per meeting rather than nine or ten strung out processions and a few good tussles with perhaps one awesome heat if we are lucky. I think a bit of needle helps but it's not the be all and end all.

It helps to read the thread properly.

Bjerre a no brainer to complete the team if the other six named are in. Like the look if that side a lot, could well garecrash the top four when it had looked pretty certain who the Play Off teams would be.

From what the article says he cares very much about Team GB, and you can understand his frustration if we aren't doing all the things which the top nations are. I don't necessarily agree with him making himself unavailable this year or his comments about finishing second last year (second was a great result) but he clearly gives a toss. Would be very interesting if he did manage to buy the rights, he is a born winner and you wouldn't bet against his claim that he would get us winning the thing. I think Tai gets frustrated with Team GB as it doesn't get anywhere near his levels of professionalism (interviews aside of course). He's never going to be everybody's cup of tea but I don't think his desire towards the national team can be questioned.

If Branford ends up as one of the top three reserves then I'm a monkey's uncle. That said good luck to the lad #backthebrits

It would be good to hear a thorough account of this whole episode from every side so we can all make our own minds up. I'd be particularly interested to hear from Mr Pairman, Mr Chapman & the management committee and the new promotion. At the moment we are getting bits and pieces from one particular viewpoint. Everything crossed for all involved with Belle Vue speedway.

I can't remember a year where so many people had the same opinion on who the top four will be. I wonder if it will prove to be so clear cut?

If it's a step too far too quick for Shanes then so it is for Bailey, Ayres, Greaves, Smith, Perks and Zak W too. I just think that his poor gating, lack of experience outside the third division and unfamiliarity with his home track make 2017 a particularly tall order for him. I hope all these riders prosper and do well as they are all British but in reality they are likely to be feeding off scraps. As long as they all improve that's all we can ask really.
-
Really? You rate him higher than me in that case. He's the only reserve without PL experience. He'll take points of others at Poole once dialled in but if he maintains his starting average he'll have done well.
-
I don't think you should be expecting anything at all from Shanes, if he scores the odd point here and there he will have done his job. He is in essence the sacrificial lamb named at number seven to complete what is really a six man side built with what should be an extremely strong first reserve. Considering the relative experience of the other number sevens anything he scores will be a bonus.
