  1. That puts a different complexion on the Lions team.
  2. Precisely, people wanting Holder and Bailey replacing don't seem to realise just how many matches King and Bates would miss. Any rider absences do my head in but one or two by Holder as opposed to dozens from King & Bates is a no brainer how ever galling the Polish willy waving is.
  3. And because of the Polish nonsense Holder is tied up in.
  4. Winning things comes a distant second to developing riders for the first team for me, but the team needs to be reasonably competitive. That team is going to get soled away from home
  5. While likely to be decent at home Somerset look a long, long way off a Play Off spot without changes.
  6. I'd certainly not be against both reserves having to take four rides as it would make it more of a team effort. Reserves shouldn't be able to be swapped either otherwise the poor number seven would get the three hardest rides after heat two. This rule should have been in place for the draft system without doubt. Only trouble would be teams abusing the rule with convenient 'injuries'.
  7. Doubt he will be by the end of the season but to begin with experience alone should make him the strongest. Anyway you know what the BSF is like for knee jerk reactions and people judging riders and line ups too soon
  8. I think Shanes may suffer from having no other regular racing. Very odd that he doesn't have a CL and / or NL place. Compare that to Bailey and Smith who will be racing for three teams and may develop faster as a result, although of course burn out is also a risk. Graversen ought to make hay initially although having had a year out won't help.
  9. Not sure Brun is a small track but he certainly is good enough. *Brum
  10. Never mind P&P, it's the first fixture Wednesday
  11. Insufficient turnstiles really isn't good enough for a sport which is trying desperately to attract and keep customers. Great to see so many Coventry fans turn out for their team, they are one of the biggest clubs we have and fingers crossed they return to to league racing very soon. Hope we have them at Lynn this year for a challenge match.
  12. When is the lad Jenkins at Mildenhall 16? Have heard a rumour that it might be him.
  13. Would be good to have someone fresh alongside Tatum.
  14. I have no problem with Woffinden not riding in the EL at all, it's his perogative and the lighter schedule has worked for him at World Championship level. But he should be riding in the British Championshipd British Championships and for Team GB, no excuses.
  15. I think the issue here is fixtures being rearranged and them clashing with fixtures long since logged in other countries. Whichever country it us taking the mickey it's just not on. If Poland had logged these non Sunday matches first it would have been a different matter.
  16. Children's prices? I agree with skidder though, every track will have different demographics and if Poole are getting kids through the door by charging what they do then there's no problem. That may change in the future though and the key is to react when required.
  17. The Ben Fund in 2011 at Scunny wasn't average, it was bloody awful. By all accounts the event is rarely thrilling racing, mainly because it is the first meeting for those riders taking part and tracks are difficult to prepare in early March. If you are going to judge tracks its probably best to do it later in the season. And not based on a meeting where your own team have been clattered.
  18. To me it's pretty simple you have a date by which all countries have to have their league's fixtures declared by. If there are any alterations after this time then tough luck on the club who can't use a rider because he has always been committed to being elsewhere as per the declaration date. If any rider kicks off because he can't get his own way then the FIM ban him.
  19. Which promotions signed the agreement?
  20. Very, very good team. Certainly one of the favourites. Makes the top four race very interesting when it could otherwise have been fairly clear cut. Poole to finish fifth anyone
  21. Indeed. The website says that Lynn were always aware that Holder would be absent for one of their OTA visits, it would be nice to have an explanation why that's the case. Speedway has plenty of issues but for me absent riders due to fixture clashes is the biggest.
