  1. I think there is a good argument that a reserve can only be replaced by another reserve as a guest. Didn't take a genius to work out that Bates was going to have a field day today.
  2. Is it fair that a rider whose average has been earned in a top five all season can guest for one who has spent the vast majority of his at reserve? Been far too many meetings just recently won by the team who can choose the best guests. Discuss.
  3. I'd suggest five minutes in a dark room with a few deep breaths to chill out a bit my old fruit.
  4. Amazes me how people get their knickers in a twist over a bit of hard riding or arguing/fisticuffs. As we saw on Wednesday evening it enhances and adds to the entertainment. It's a highly charged, adrenalin fuelled sport, not petanque or tiddlywinks. Don't see the need to whingebag about it afterwards, we need more of it to liven speedway up a bit.
  5. If you want stevebrum to admit he was wrong you are in for a long wait!
  6. The ideal would be EL on Mondays and Wednesdays but it will be very difficult to do. Might be time to tailor the teams competing to these race nights if possible.
  7. As an outsider with an Aces supporting wife and in laws I'd replace Nicholls & Zagar and keep the other five.
  8. Agree about Kennett. To be honest looking at the ELRC line up its embarrassing but even though there is only a sprinkling of top riders it will probably do Lambert more good long term to ride in that and try to win it. The main focus for the BSPA this winter should be to avoid fixture clashes between the two leagues if they are going to share so many riders.
  9. Seeing as several of his assets ride there perhaps this is a golden opportunity for Matt Ford to take the reins and make a success of Plymouth.
  10. Lambert is an asset of an EL club so should be at the ELRC.
  11. Nope just bend two, but I felt it unsettled Worrall enough and he lost enough momentum to aid PK in his pass. Certainly didn't hand it to him on a plate but certainly helped his cause.
  12. Congratulations Wolves, commiserations Belle Vue. Nothing wrong with the Cook/Lindgren and Woffy/crowd stuff, all adds to the entertainment. Feel for Belle Vue after they finished top but being able to get Tai in on a bona fide average has made the difference to Wolves so well done to them. Some awesome racing too on what must be the best track on the UK, proper fast racing with umpteen lines and loads of room.
  13. To be fair Worrall did mess up slightly in heat one, he lifted momentarily meaning he lost momentum but PK still had to pounce. I much prefer bigger, faster tracks but Wolves is decent for a smaller track and I've seen plenty of passing there over the years which hasn't been the result of mistakes.
  14. Superb by Cook. I'm a big fan of Monmore Green and think it's a great race track for a little un but it's proved itself to be a trick track tonight with the best team in the league being completely caught out and gate three providing a huge advantage. Wouldn't put it past Belle Vue winning the second leg by 20 but it'll be a tall order.
  15. Haha doesn't take Masters long to moan and groan when things don't go his way.
  16. Jacobs can't even turn the bike, awful. Really hope Belle Vue can get back into this otherwise Wednesday will be a damp squib, just like the final GP.
  17. There you go, a bit of balance. We all know that gating is Robert's achilles heel but it's not always completely black and white. And he's younger than Holder.
