  1. Usual mixed bag from an AGM with some encouraging stuff and some same old, difficult to judge until we see things in action though. As has been alluded to the biggest problem has been guests and R/R as a result of doubling up clashes, hopefully there are plans to sort that out.
  2. All Brits should be able to double up if they so wish.
  3. The Danish league ride on different nights anyway not just Wednesdays. Personally I'd not want Puk back unless he was committed to every single fixture.
  4. I think Buster can get meetings on if the will of everybody is there, however if the riders and a few hundred supporters aren't fussed I don't think the effort is always present. That said there simply shouldn't be a situation where fixtures go unraced. Very poor.
  5. This. Really irritates me when riders get slated for a bit of handbags, it shows a care for what they are doing and adds to the entertainment. No punches were thrown so does it really matter.
  6. Unusual for a promoter of Drury's experience to make such a ricket. That said protesting just before the start is poor. Speedway shoots itself in the foot yet again!
  7. Heard that one back in Septemer so could well be true.
  8. If Lambert decides he wants to ride elsewhere there is nothing Lynn could do about it, the riders have the power. Personally I think the day will come when he will demand more £'s than Lynn are prepared to pay and he will move to one of the chequebook clubs but hopefully that won't be yet as he is one of the few good things we have going for us at the moment.
  9. Bizarre that Bjerre isn't a reserve, whatever you think of him.
  10. Well done Glasgow, really pleased for the promotion who deserve some silverware for the money and effort they have put in.
  11. I'm no Hancock fan anyway but letting paying supporters down last night and at Belle Vue is a very poor show.
  12. I think Rob has become disillusioned with the sport so good luck with that although a new challenge may what he needs.
  13. Guests aren't ideal and can make speedway look a bit silly but I can't see an alternative.
  14. Such a shame that people have to come on and snipe about the wealth of Glasgows owners when they lose. In a sport which is struggling to survive financially we need more of these people getting involved in speedway!
  15. He smashed his thigh in 2001 riding for Lynn against Oxford live on Sky in a first bend crash with Lukas Dryml.
  16. Surely the best way to test a potential new format is to actually run a meeting? The BSPA have used a bit of sense for a change.
  17. 1997. I remember watching from the home straight thinking that he might not get up.
  18. There has always been some kind of rider control / points limit for a good reason. We have chequebook speedway already and it'd be even worse with no restrictions.
  19. Absolutely. The advantage of racing round an oval track is that spectators can see everything as opposed to very little with other motorsports.
