  1. Batchelor is averaging just over five for a reason. As for KK, he isn't half as bad as brum makes out.
  2. There needs to be a cut off for reassessment. I would say two years ie anyone who rode here in 2015 comes in on what they finished on that season, if it was prior to that then their figure needs looking at. If two whole seasons have been missed then use averages in other leagues to reassess to a realistic figure if necessary.
  3. More like ten and three! He was the ultimate gating tart and was able to get to the first bend in front 90% of the time at Lynn but very, very rarely away. Was so light and fast that once he got going at Lynn he won by a fair distance.
  4. Exactly, as we have with others claiming there will be one disaster after another, it's all crystal ball stuff. Let's have another conversation in 5-10 years time.
  5. The problem comes when, for whatever reason, a riders PL average doesn't reflect their EL worth. It's also not beyond the realms of possibility that a rider could be incentivised to keep their PL average down to make them more attractive in the EL.
  6. Nice attempt to divert from the issue but you are quite correct, Glasgow need to raise their game. They have the look of aside who have run out of steam to me and I wouldn't be surprised if they struggle beat Sheffield over two legs.
  7. One ride out of four with the other three taken by reserves? You'll have to do better than that.
  8. There must be some way of negatively weighting scores from reserves races so as to give FTR riders more realistic averages. The PL average method just doesn't work.
  9. I'm certainly not stirring it, just think it's yet another crap rule and worthy of discussion. At the end of the day Bates and Tungate's contributions cancelled each other out so Somerset probably would have won anyway but as Scotsman says guests should never strengthen a team.
  10. One average achieved in a top five, the other at reserve with easier rides.
  11. I think there is a good argument that a reserve can only be replaced by another reserve as a guest. Didn't take a genius to work out that Bates was going to have a field day today.
  12. Is it fair that a rider whose average has been earned in a top five all season can guest for one who has spent the vast majority of his at reserve? Been far too many meetings just recently won by the team who can choose the best guests. Discuss.
  13. I'd suggest five minutes in a dark room with a few deep breaths to chill out a bit my old fruit.
  14. Amazes me how people get their knickers in a twist over a bit of hard riding or arguing/fisticuffs. As we saw on Wednesday evening it enhances and adds to the entertainment. It's a highly charged, adrenalin fuelled sport, not petanque or tiddlywinks. Don't see the need to whingebag about it afterwards, we need more of it to liven speedway up a bit.
  15. If you want stevebrum to admit he was wrong you are in for a long wait!
  16. The ideal would be EL on Mondays and Wednesdays but it will be very difficult to do. Might be time to tailor the teams competing to these race nights if possible.
  17. As an outsider with an Aces supporting wife and in laws I'd replace Nicholls & Zagar and keep the other five.
  18. Agree about Kennett. To be honest looking at the ELRC line up its embarrassing but even though there is only a sprinkling of top riders it will probably do Lambert more good long term to ride in that and try to win it. The main focus for the BSPA this winter should be to avoid fixture clashes between the two leagues if they are going to share so many riders.
  19. Seeing as several of his assets ride there perhaps this is a golden opportunity for Matt Ford to take the reins and make a success of Plymouth.
  20. Lambert is an asset of an EL club so should be at the ELRC.
  21. Nope just bend two, but I felt it unsettled Worrall enough and he lost enough momentum to aid PK in his pass. Certainly didn't hand it to him on a plate but certainly helped his cause.
  22. Congratulations Wolves, commiserations Belle Vue. Nothing wrong with the Cook/Lindgren and Woffy/crowd stuff, all adds to the entertainment. Feel for Belle Vue after they finished top but being able to get Tai in on a bona fide average has made the difference to Wolves so well done to them. Some awesome racing too on what must be the best track on the UK, proper fast racing with umpteen lines and loads of room.
