  2. All we are missing is a statement from the contractors saying it isn't their fault!
  3. Assuming Lambert will ride on Thursday, but he is busy with P'boro the Thursday after. No idea how reserve guests work this year.
  4. The idea is that it will have multiple lines. Only time will tell, and our dogs breakfast of an Elite League probably won't bring the best out of it. I expect the SWC will though.
  5. Neils was hobbling really badly at Belle Vue last night, hope its nothing lasting or serious.
  6. They will get the track right, I can't believe the National Stadium won't have an A1 track. Last night was the mother of all teething problems.
  7. I'll be there on May 2nd. Won't be cutting my nose off to spite my face, and I suspect if the track is good for Belle Vue meetings between now and then that the place will be packed out for the SWC. One or two people seem to be using tonight as an 'I told you so' after thinking that the place wouldn't be built under the stewardship of Morton & Gordon. The reality is that once the track is ironed out we have a stunning stadium and circuit in the UK, people really should go and see it for themselves once the dust of this evening has settled. That said tonight was an awful embarrassment for British Speedway.
  8. I think there is right and wrong on both sides but the bottom line is that once again British Speedway has treated its customers appallingly. Absolutely no consideration for the crowd this evening. And the worst thing is its absolutely no surprise, its a familiar feeling. As for moving the SWC, its three months away FFS. Get a grip. Despite tonight's shambles the track shape and stadium are stunning.
  9. Pretty sure he averaged 10 at home one season. That said unless he was clear coming out of the second bend he wouldn't win the race, would shut off if he got near anyone. But if he hit the front he was so fast.
  10. The irony Its a shame (but unsurprising) to see people writing riders off after one leg of a glorified challenge.
  11. Nope I'll be the sole Norfolker amongst a gaggle of Mancs aka the wife's family
  12. An example from thirteen years ago hardly helps your case! As Trees says I expect sponsorship plays a big part in what Poole pay, and I don't have a problem with clubs having bigger budgets than others, its just very irritating when people ignore that fact when trumpeting about why particular riders join their club. Very naive to think that money isn't a major part of it.
  13. And the chequebook to price others out I would imagine.
  14. Youngsters today Still astounds me that a club as big as Poole think they are can't get their track prepared properly on a regular basis.
  15. Instead of spouting negative hot air it might be best to wait til Saturday to see what the stadium and track are like.
  16. I hope to God that the track doesn't cut up for the opening meeting, we all want (and British Speedway needs) the opening event at the new National Stadium to be nothing except a success. I assumed there would be plenty of practice on it for the Bele Vue lads next week.
