  1. You've already hit sixty against Lynn without turning up reading some of the comments on here! One or two people could do with calming down a little after a couple of wins.
  2. I think that point of view disrespects the competition quite badly. And surely Scunny are in the business of winning meetings? Even if qualification had gone you still want to win meetings to build confidence and momentum for the PL campaign surely? Redcar were only three points ahead at heats 9 & 12, where Lunna could (should) have taken one of Perks' rides.
  3. You are talking about one track and referring to one particular meeting. Far more telling are the averages of King, Stead & Auty in both leagues over the past few years. I agree with you with regards to the five you have named. King and Stead failed badly last year in the final so for me Lambert & Cook should get their chance this time.
  4. Auty will never be as good as Stead or King, still can't gate after nine years and would be a poor choice. Newman possibly worth persevering with even though he had been around for a fair while too. The squad Gavan named in the OP is more or less on the money though.
  5. This is a clash between two poor looking sides and as such could go either way.
  6. Makes no difference is he races here or not, he is going to be our leading SGP and SWC rider for a few years yet. FWIW I think he'll be back riding for Wolves in the next two or three seasons but I wouldn't blame him if he doesn't.
  7. Tai Woffinden doesn't owe British Speedway anything as far as I'm concerned, if he feels its best to cut down on his riding and travelling then I don't blame him for cutting the UK out of his schedule at all. He has to be the first name on the team sheet for me as our one truly world class rider.
  8. Is there a good reason for AJ's absence or is there some pee taking going on?
  9. Don't think it'll be 60 but should be a comfortable passage through.
  10. No need to shout! Would it not have been dangerous to grade loose stuff onto a bare racing line after 15 afternoon heats? Maybe Peterborough should receive praise for stepping in and replacing Castleford at the last minute.
  11. Not keen on Botham myself. Atherton & Gower use too much jargon. Bumble is great and Shane Warne is pretty good when he has been involved. Nasser decent too.Paul Allott is probably the most irritating of all.
  12. Don't think he was burned out, was our best rider in the Play Offs. Wouldn't be surprised if he was trying one or two things out last night with Lynn up there in a fortnight. Bet that pleased Norrie
  13. Mike, Twitter is probably designed for mobile use but can be used on a computer too. Once you get used to it it's easier than Facebook to use I find for news and updates etc. Certainly worth having a go with!
  14. Great to see Newman among the points again. We need the FTR's to be scoring big points in the PL.
  15. Good test of Sheffield's credentials this, an away match at a track where they traditionally struggle against a side who look one of the weaker ones on paper.
  16. Most of the riders he has beaten have been PL heat leaders or second strings or full time EL, with a few PL reserves in there too. I think its realistic to expect him to at least maintain his scoring from last season and while he is doing that in the EL he certainly isn't in the PL.
  17. There are other teams too! Sheffield and Peterborough both look capable of winning it to me, and I would never write off Somerset.
  18. Newman is beating more than just PL reserves for Poole.
  19. And Newman.....scoring hatfuls for Poole but poor at Sheffield & Rye this week.
