Rye House Vs Peterborough Panthers 6/4/15 Lc
Bagpuss replied to Panthers89's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Spot on, and really wouldn't be difficult to do. Not Len's fault that P'boro have had to rearrange their home match but a bit of common sense would mean that far, far more away fans would travel. -
Rob Lambert Our Next British Hope?
Bagpuss replied to sommelier's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Don't be a sap. -
Don't think this needs to turn into a PL v EL debate but I do think there is a clear distinction this year between the top six or seven teams and the rest, and I include Rye House in that after their start. Peterborough are too but not sure if they can recover from their devastating injuries.

Might have to branch out to solve the issue. -
Wolves Vs Belle Vue Tues 7th April

Either a poor wind up attempt or a very strange honest opinion. Either way don't see too many agreeing with you, the three changes make Aces much stronger. -
Coventry Stadium - The Promotion Men Vs Boys !

Trouble is many more people have the taste for stocks and bangers than speedway by the sound of it, at Lynn the place is packed to the rafters for four wheeled action. -
Berwick V Glasgow (sat April 4) League Cup
Bagpuss replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Rather than a collapse it looks like a better team on paper taking several heats to get their set ups right to get out of the gate. Once they started to do so you could see from updates that they would probably win. -
King's Lynn V Lakeside Tues 31st Sky 7.30
Bagpuss replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Actually that is a good point GRW123, I was referring more to the burger van and back straight eateries. Have had chips from Pit Stop and they were ok. -
Somerset V Plymouth 3/4/15.

Well done Plymouth, good response. -

Personally Trees I think that really shouldn't be an issue, 90-120 minutes is a reasonable amount of time to do a job voluntary or not without the need for a drink or the loo. If they can't wait for a pee then a quick dash in between races cab surely happen. If it's that cold then take a flask. The interval is purely to make money in the bars and food outlets and doesn't consider customers. -

I think the reason Puk tweeted at all was that it happened twice in nine days. Could well have been a one off occurrence at both venues and beyond both promoters control but for a professional sport it's a pretty poor show. -

The food at Lynn has always been pretty nasty unfortunately. -

I'm not suggesting we sack him yet but we saw performances like this last year and we can't afford to go into any play off meetings carrying him like today. So the jury is out for now. Well done to Lawson on his max, good to see Brits dominating the two matches between the sides this week, team alliegences to one side of course -

The scorelines would say otherwise. Some of us got your tongue in cheekness by the way -

Yes, very much the exception to the rule though. -

Three heat winners away from home does not a title challenging team make. Very early days but one rider in particular stands out from that scorecard and needs to do much, much more. If he can't then he needs replacing before it's too late if the club are serious about winning things. That said the scoreline is probably par for the course as far as Lynn at Arena are concerned. -
Sheffield Vs Redcar 02-04-15 Lc
Bagpuss replied to Tigerish's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I agree, unnecessary tinkering of what was a good scoring system. Speedway shoots itself in the foot yet again. -
Swindon Robins Vs Poole Pirates 3/4/15

Precisely, it's the rules which are a joke rather than how they are being utilised. -

Kevin Doolan has started the season strongly, used to ride for the Hammers and has never let the Stars down in the past so it could be a great decision. With two of the R/R rides having to be taken by the reserves I think it's worth going for the seven riders option to be honest. -
Poole Pirates Vs Swindon Robins 3/4/15
Bagpuss replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Absolutely, but Rory's average was achieved against heat leaders whereas Josh got his beating second strings and FTR's. -

Bagpuss replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Putting aside the whole PL/double up issue it seems crazy that a heat leader can guest for a second string with the change in format last season. -
Just caught up with a pile of Speedway Stars from weeks ago (get them second hand from my Father) and have to day well done to all involved with the Fans Trust, great idea. Good luck and hope it's a success.
