Why is Wilkinson not riding?

Fair enough, hadn't seen it posted already or wouldn't have done so myself.

I was under the impression that number 8's could only appear in the top five.....

Quite amusing to read some saying Glasgow shouldn't have dropped Barker, but then others saying Ipswich shouldn't have dropped Kerr for him. Is Kerr really better than Bach? All much of a muchness IMO. Not a fan of the jealousy posts against Glasgow's money, its a good thing that somebody is putting that kind of finance into the sport somewhere. They are still going to lose meetings along the way. All a bit playground to take the mickey when they do.

All three Danes have been very disappointing this year.

All seems unnecessarily complicated.

Bates is the British U21 champion and the second highest Brit in the World U21 standings behind Lambert so can feel very hard done by if he3 doesn't get the reserve spot. Like King he has produced in the big meetings this season, a good reason for both to be included.

A good opportunity for Tom to show what he can do.

Is Howarth's average really lower than Lambert's? Wow.

Good ride but a prime example of why I dislike team riding.....King should have cleared off and secured the 4-2.

The reserve situation has been a complete dog's breakfast, and sadly a reflection of the state of EL speedway in general. Not a bad thing for FTR's who have performed well to go into the top five, but not as heatleaders where they have generally been slaughtered, they should be moved up to second string positions only. And any non FTR's who drop to reserve should only be able to take four programmed rides rather than seven. Also riders like PK and Bjarne being signed after the start of the season and dropping to reserve shouldn't be able to happen, let them earn a real time average like FTR's rather than using old figures from last season.

Don't get to speedway too often nowadays for various reasons but I thoroughly enjoyed that, was the first time for several visits that I felt I've got full VFM for my £17.. The track was perfect leading to passing in the vast majority of races and because of the black clouds the meeting was pushed through at a proper pace and all over in ninety minutes. Deserved win for Lynn with Rose fantastic. Batchelor was excellent too and stated on Radio Norfolk the next morning that he had come back from his injury too early and until Thursday night had struggled to do four laps, hopefully we will see the best of him from now on. Thought Busk Jakobsen looked promising and once he gets used to the track could be very useful.

Nothing wrong with Ayres' celebration, we need more of that kind of thing in speedway. Contrast that to most riders coming straight back to the pits last night at Lynn with no interaction at all.

If we had a fans referendum at Lynn this evening Trees I'd vote PL without hesitation, I might even go more often if we dropped back down. The club has the asset base to be competitive at the top of the league and I think you'd get more and better rider interaction. As for last night, putting the racing on a sodden track to one side the crowd and atmosphere came across fantastically well and probably did the sport a lot of good live on telly. Edinburgh top heavier than Dolly Parton.

I can't find the post as it was some weeks ago I read it but somebody mentioned on a thread that the number 8 had to be someone new to the EL. I don't really understand how this is 'twisting the rules to suit himself' when the rider in question averaged under seven in the PL last year, he is hardly going to set the EL alight. And I would suggest that its a little late to be pulling a fast one to improve our team as it looks very poor once Iversen departs, surely he would have used his position to his advantage long before now if he was going to. I also think if we are going to judge Buster on sorting the sport out we need to do so after years rather than weeks of his rein. And while I appreciate that he is head man and such the buck stops with him, do you consider the 'remaining scraps of credibility' that he has to also apply to the other members of the management committee and the SCB, as they all seem to be behind the Belle Vue statement. Its long been apparent that you have a strong dislike for and subsequently an agenda towards Mr Chapman which is a pity as you are one of the better posters on here, but its difficult to take anything you say about him too seriously as a result.

STARS TAKE ON HAMMERS IN ELITE OPENER Written by King's Lynn Speedway and posted on March 21, 2016 Fresh from their victory over Wroclaw last week, the King’s Lynn ‘Roger Warnes Transport’ Stars will start their Elite League campaign on Thursday night when the Lakeside Hammers visit the Adrian Flux Arena. Rob Lyon’s side will line up with GP star Niels-Kristian Iversen, Robert Lambert and Captain Rory Schlein filling the heat leader positions, with Mads Korneliussen and new signing Kai Huckenbeck completing the top five. Carl Wilkinson, who impressed against Wroclaw, will lineup at reserve alongside Lewis Rose after declaring himself fit to ride. Visitors Lakeside have made changes to their side over the winter and they will start the season with a relatively new look. Swedish racers Andreas Jonsson and Kim Nilsson have been handed returns, along with Richard Lawson. Piotr Swiderski makes the switch from Leicester for 2016 and is joined by Lewis Bridger in the main body. At reserve, Lakeside have former Star Lewis Kerr and partnering him is Robert Mear. Both teams are evenly matched, but the battle between Grand Prix riders Iversen and Jonsson will be an interesting one to watch. The Stars number one has been in great pre-season form and showed last week that he knows the quickest way around the Adrian Flux Arena. Jonsson is also in-form having won the Hammers’ Spring Trophy last week. Ahead of the meeting, Lyon said: “Traditionally Lakeside haven’t been good travellers here but we will take nothing for granted. It’s a fresh season and they will want to come with the attitude to get something out of the meeting. “It was a difficult night last week, the boys didn’t quite know how to react to the track, obviously the weather played its part. Hopefully if the weather is kind to us we will have a more typical Kings Lynn track on Thursday. I would be disappointed if we don’t come away with a win.” Gates at the Adrian Flux Arena open at 6pm tonight. The parade is set to take place at 7:30pm with tapes up for the first race at 7:45pm. I thought a team's number eight just had to be 'new to the EL' a la Zach dooda from Somerset/Brum?
