Agreed. The two dullest riders in the series finishing first and second last night says it all.

Best Speedway Track In The World?
Bagpuss replied to Stoke Potter's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Kumla has looked bloody good on Eurosport this year. -
Fantastic for Lynn in 2006 & 2007, will go down as a bit of a legend in these parts for his efforts in those seasons. Happy retirement Daniel

Best Speedway Track In The World?

Bydgoszcz without question (Nige) -
As long as the Play Offs determine the champions and the league topping trophy is recognition of exactly that.

Berwick V Edinburgh - Pl Playoffs (20 September)
Bagpuss replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not sure about the nasty bile but it does make him look unprofessional. Don't have a problem with some banter with opposing fans necessarily but being disparaging about another track really isn't on. Berwick may not be the best racetrack in the world but it enables the club to function which provides him with several extra meetings each season to earn money. -
Berwick V Edinburgh - Pl Playoffs (20 September)

I see Cook is being a wally on Twitter again about Berwick, he would do well to remember that his home track is one which plenty of riders dislike but don't see fit to slag off on social media every time they visit. Seems he has as much room for improvement off track as on it if he wants to get anywhere near the top of the sport. -
Sgp Challenge Final Sat 20th Sept

Was going to say something similar re Magic, we had commitment issues with him in 2012 when he was competing in the U21s and twelve GP's along with Poland, Sweden and the UK leagues next year will be a big work load. Would benefit from any squad system being implemented. -
Sgp Challenge Final Sat 20th Sept

Darcy should be made to qualify, might make him appreciate his spot a bit more. I hope Magic's qualification means no wc for Hampel, one of the dullest riders on the circuit IMO. -

Well done to Bomber, Doyle & Magic. Kildemand utterly brainless. -
Edinburgh V Berwick (pl-po) 19/9/14 @ 7.30pm
Bagpuss replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Wethers was ill apparently. -
We were talking about this at Lynn the other night, wondering if it was a technique issue or set up, or both. I don't think our track really helps him to be honest, the starts are the grippiest around and not the easiest to make a good getaway from, he seems to gate better away from home much of the time. If he can get it sorted soon the sky is the limit for him.

Comparing their ability on the bike isn't pathetic at all, and that's from somebody who watched both week in week out at 16. But their gating is worlds apart and Robert's scores won't hit the heights until he gets that sorted. We probably won't be able to compare them properly until the end of 2016, if Lambert is averaging 9+ in the EL at eighteen then he will be round about where Darcy was at that age. Would like to see Lambert doing EL and PL next year and then hopefully Sweden and Poland the year after.

Scunny are a Jekyll and Hyde team and rarely seem comfortable on the tighter tracks. -

Great stuff. Hopefully he can find a team in Sweden too and really kick his career on.

Stoke V King's Lynn (mdl) - 6th September 2014
Bagpuss replied to Mimmo's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
I don't understand why MDL teams use riders who have already ridden in the NL match beforehand, they rarely take all of their MDL rides through tiredness / machinery fatigue. Makes a mockery of the MDL match tbh -
The Future Of The Elite League
Bagpuss replied to SarahLapworth's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
All it says is that there are a lot of injuries at the moment? Apart from Pawlicki who was taking the Michael out of Wolves the other nine absent riders are not fit. That said you are right, there are far too many guests in the EL this year through riders competing elsewhere. -
Most Bizarre Exclusions......
Bagpuss replied to Sings4Speedway's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think it was bend four of lap one in heat 15.....4-2 to Ippo to secure the draw although we won 50-40 in the return that evening -
Would be nice to see a meeting on Sky from the SBA, seems to be one of the better racetracks around.

Somerset Rebels Vs Berwick 05/09
Bagpuss replied to drew2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That's part of speedway for me HT, makes away wins all the more sweet when they come along. Little things like grippy starts, the outside or inside of corners being ripped up etc will happen if the home riders want them to but won't necessarily detract from the entertainment. Wouldn't ever agree with a track being too slick, too grippy, full of ruts or inconsistent though.
