Swc, Event Two, King's Lynn 15/7
Bagpuss replied to Northern Exile's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Also regarding the car parking I expect most other outdoor events in the UK this summer involve parking in a grass field and walking. Its not ideal but hardly unique to Lynn. -

The track wasn't diabolical at all, in fact after the first few races it was excellent considering the heat and the fact it had been practiced on in the afternoon. True it suits other countries more than us but I expect if another track applied to hold the event it might get moved. -

Cook looked outclassed tonight, think he has missed a trick in his development by doing the PL again this year rather than riding in foreign leagues, assuming of course that his hand wasn't forced. Just read on Twitter that he and Kennett have been dropped for Barker and Bridger, not a huge suprise in all honesty. Not a great meeting tonight for me, too many predictable heats although there were one or two decent races. -
I think Lynn use Robert Lambert when it suits Robert Lambert rather than when it suits Lynn. And why should he not ride in Germany at weekends? Far better for his development than NL.

Kerr is reserve for Newcastle at the Fours today. Looking at the updates from Leicester last night it seems like Worrall (guesting for Edberg) had a couple of falls so could have picked up a knock.

Where were Worrall and Rose?

Lewis Rose is what the NL is all about, he has improved so much in a short space of time. I'm with semion, its more about rider development than winning at this level but beating your local rivals is always nice -

orion is right in that Kennett, Barker and King are much of a muchness but if the side is being chosen on form there's only one choice and thats Barker. He's hardly inexperienced either. Kennett is a strange and poor choice in that regard for me. Its a year too soon for Worrall IMO. -

Worrall but no Cook? Can't agree with that, or that you are judging Cook from a couple of rides on a ploughed field when he was a reserve.i Whoever is picked lets hope that the squad gets a practice session at Lynn some time before the meeting to give them the best chance. -
Parken Gp 2013
Bagpuss replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Zagar was unlucky IMO, he was in front and just using the racing line. Emil was also unfortunate, the margins are inches and split seconds and on another day he'd have squeezed through or not passed but stayed upright. One if those where, for me, nobody was really at fault and one where an 'all four back' rule which could be used at any point in a race would be useful. For that to work though you would need referees who will always make the tough decisions and not use any new rule as the easy option.......... -

Great effort by Somerset, although when you have strong heat leaders you always have a chance of a point. Gutted for Lewis Rose, he was really starting to look the part for the Young Stars. -

Just caught up with some recent Speedway Stars and even though Middlo has picked the squad 'on form' he has selected Howarth rather than Richard Lawson. Dear me. -

They'd be silly to not use Bjerre at Lynn. I'd go with Nicki P, Puk, Bjerre and Kildemand. -

Hmmmm, this jackal character is either on a wind up or has lost the plot. Which do people think it is? -
Its already been said that he will ride in away matches which don't clash with his continental commitments. Therefore he will ride in some.

Have some of that Mr Tattum

Auty has been around a fair old while now and still can't gate, for me he is as good as he'll ever be. Cook, rightly or wrongly, wasn't giving it full beans at Cardiff due to the track. IMO if course
