  1. I think the Chapmans are currently in a 'quality over quantity' mindset, seeing as they voted for 14 home meetings rather than 18 and opted out of the KOC. Difficult to judge crowd levels this year due to the dire weather and ten rain offs but last season (no rain offs) they were pretty healthy. In my opinion people had got bored of PL racing at Lynn and the move up was what the club needed, don't get me wrong the EL has plenty of issues but at the moment the top divison is the best place for the Stars. There are several NL fixtures to be run so people who want to see speedway can do over the next month. Also, again in my opinion, Mr Warnes' sponsorship levels would fall dramatically without EL exposure.
  2. Could that chip on your shoulder get any bigger? I suggest you stop worrying about us and concentrate on your own team.
  3. Wow, pretty remarkable score from him tonight then. Well done young man.
  4. Your last sentence is spot on, such a shame that the weather has wrecked the Young Stars fixture list, mainly by forcing the senior teams' meetings to be rescheduled when the youngsters were due to race, although that is totally understandable IMO. I'd hope that Lewi would stay loyal to the club in the face of other offers next year but if other clubs can offer him more meetings then you can't blame him for wanting that. Whatever happens the club needs to keep hold of him as an asset as the boy has huge potential.
  5. Plus if he can double up then why would he only race less than half of the meetings available to him? No reason why he couldn't ride EL, PL and have regular trips to Germany.
  6. Is British Speedway really in that bad a state that an NL side has to run with five riders?
  7. Witches seem to be running into a bit of form at the right time, if they can scrape into the top 6 and keep everyone fit they could be dark horses.
  8. I've heard whispers that he's going to continue riding in Germany only next year. If he and his family think thats the best thing for him then fair play, and I can see the argument that the competition over there is better for him and his progress. However I'd like to see him ride some NL too so that he can keep his hand in on the smaller more technical circuits we have over here. Being as good as he is you'd imagine he'd have his pick of NL clubs so would probably end up at one of the better paying ones.
  9. aljack is like many NCFC fans, full of it when his team loses and as quiet as a mouse when they win
  10. The thing is both last year and this the Witches were highly fancied by many to do very well.....its very easy in hindsight to criticise but as the majority of people predicted good seasons then there must be something wrong somewhere at the club for so many riders to underachieve two seasons running ie the track, motivation, finance etc. Of course injuries have had a pretty large bearing on both last season and this at the Foxhole but there have also been poor performances a plenty unrelated to those lay offs. As I've said before I think the Witches need to build next year's side round the four highly promising Aussies they currently have and go from there.
  11. Indeed, I see he's using his usual motivational techniques 'Do as I say, not as I did' it would seem.
  12. I have to agree with montie, unfortunately the NL is a stepping stone for young lads who are good enough to progress to the PL and as such the higher level should take priority when there are fixture clashes. Of course it hinders Mildy in this case but they should get satisfaction from the role they have played in developing Blackbird to his current level.
  13. Plus that is one incident....Mr Vissing has been lairy for several years.
  14. So Roynon for Woffy, Cook for Bridger and presumably Auty for King if he doesn't make it? Obviously best wishes to the three injured lads but good to see these three youngsters getting their chance.
  15. Just to balance it up well done to the Young Stars on their first win of the season and to the ginger one on his max
  16. Not for me....Scott was dreadful in the SWC race off and its time to look to the future and blood some younger riders.
  17. Totally agree, for me Nicholls and Kennett shouldn't be anywhere near the GB side with all due respect to them, I'd have had Auty & Roynon in their places. Suprised Aus aren't using Morris too, maybe Lord Ford has told the team managers who to pick
  18. Can definitely see why he hasn't entered the U16's over here, makes more sense to race in Germany at a standard which will help him develop. Will be interesting to see whether he and his family choose to ride NL next year or carry on racing on the continent. Early signs are that he could have a massive impact on the PL in 2014, and there is sure to be a scramble for his signature.
  19. Agree. People seem to think he should be a PL superstar because of his surname.
