  1. Fair enough. Well done to THJ and to Linus for second place
  2. Correct me if I am wrong, but has THJ missed the Edinburgh meeting tonight because of this qualifier, even though it is on Sunday?
  3. Acoording to the BBC National Forecast the worst of the showers will have left the Rye area by midday.
  4. We usually find it easier to go via Harlow and through the 50p toll road which takes you straight to the stadium, avoiding Hoddesdon itself which you would encounter on the M25/A10 route.
  5. You are quite right screamer....if Nicholls is riding like he was last night come July then I would hope that Rob would have the balls to not include him in GB's five. Have him as a non riding captain by all means, but as things stand I would go with something like Harris, Kennett, Rico, Tai and Bridger.
  6. I'm certainly no Pedersen fan but from where I was sitting on my sofa that looked like six and two threes. Would have had all four back.
  7. Considering it was his forst time I thought he did ok....obviously there to talk about the Team GB squad, so may not be on again anyway.
  8. Sorry guys, was being sarcastic...Millard said it so many times during the night that even Havelock & Heuwen were taking the mick Great performance from the boy, has balls of steel. Darcy beat him on his home track last Sunday though Brits poor, as was the track. Some things never change
  9. And what a meeting that promises to be, with any one of Summers, Darcy, Kozza, Sweetman and Josh G in with a real shout of taking the title.
  10. Indeed. To have even a sniff of qualifying we need the track to be nice and deep. Having it at the EoES is great news for those of us who live less than an hour away
  11. Excellent performances from the two Lynn lads, considering his inexpeience Darcy exceeded all expectations while Kozza finished as the highest placed non EL (including doubling up) rider. Roll on the U21 final
  12. Quite surprised that Holder isn't in a clear second place....third in the first round and only crept into today's A final through the back door where he was lucky to get second when Doyle crashed. Good to see Darcy & Kozza scoring in all of their races.
  13. Interesting that you have put those two so far down.....I know they are only going to go one way but I can't see them both dropping that far next year. And if they did I wouldn't rule out the possibility of one or both 'doing a Rickardsson', ie jacking it in when they know they ain't gonna win the thing, or even get on the rostrum.
  14. I thought Kozza's arm was supposed to be in plaster?
  15. Having Tai in the GP's for 2009 would have been ridiculous but I have to challenge that sentence of yours Steve. To average 11 in the CL at fifteen years old, then 9 in your first PL season at sixteen suggests that he is super talented. Further strides were taken this year (still just seventeen until recently) with a 10 point PL average, PLRC title, an excellent SWC debut and several decent scores as an EL guest. Sure he has struggled a bit on the continent but he is still very young and will improve again next year racing against the world's best more frequently. He may not match Noddy's debut EL average next season but don't forget he is two years behind him. The boy is the real deal and its a shame one or two are questioning this fact because of a bit of over exuberance from the wallies on Sky.
  16. Can see what you are saying M08 but Bomber's two best performances in the GP's came at Wroclaw and Cardiff in 2007 - both tracks had a decent amount of dirt and a few lumps and bumps. He was overtaking the very best in those meetings. Even this year at Cardiff he was competitive. It was mega slick ones like Byd, Lonigo and Eskilstuna where he really struggled. Would be nice if both parties could do their bit, ie Olsen put a bit more shale down and Bomber improve on his gating
  17. There are too many GP's now, thats the trouble. They need to cut it to around six to freshen the whole thing up. One each month from May-October would be plenty. Although I watch most of them and usually enjoy the racing, I just don't get that feeling of anticipation anymore when GP Saturday comes round. And the majority of the field should be there through qualification. Seed the top three through to the next year and leave one or maybe two wild card picks, but make the rest qualify.
  18. I think Holder may have shot himself in the foot by going public that he isn't ready for the GP series.
