Not every team will every week, but as a general trend it has been the case for many years. The number of times Poole heat leaders and second strings have beaten top riders over the years will bear that out.

King's Lynn Vs Sheffield 06.07.23
Bagpuss replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The club is a absolute shambles unfortunately. Track, team, results, crowds, take your pick. For those o us who have been going since the last century in particular its painful and so demoralising. -
IMO Poole for whatever reason is a very difficult track for away riders to get the set up right for, for years away riders have struggled to score points there in both leagues.

Glasgow (28) vs (62) PIRATES BSN Final 2nd leg 21st July
Bagpuss replied to lbw's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It's always the latter with dear old Skidder. I'm sure he'll remember 2009 when Poole were shyte, finished one from bottom and their crowds were awful. -
Leicester vs Peterborough 06/07/23 PREMIERSHIP R2

I think the phrase you need is learning disabilities. -
@Cabbageman learn to use some punctuation FFS

For those who don't listen to the @RoundTheBoardsPodcast podcast each week the latest episode has some excellent discussion and ideas from former Coventry rider Lee Coleman about moving speedway forward in the UK and making it a better customer experience, and he has submitted a document to the SCB to that effect. Well worth a listen. https://podcast.sport-social.co.uk/podcast/round-the-boards-the-speedway-podcast/

King's Lynn Vs Sheffield 06.07.23
Bagpuss replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Buster said straight away that the team was over budget so any guest will be bargain basement, that's a given. Sheffield to score somewhere between 50 and 60 I expect. -
Jason Edwards apparently.
-
Not really, there are some fresh views in there and some good reasoning for them. What's your suggestion out of interest?
-
Pleased for Jason if he gets the chance, he's a good lad.

Apologies, I'd forgotten that the Championship were doing the superheat this season -

You feel that Oxford have missed a trick a little bit there. -
My God Jorgensen is dire.

World Cup - Wroclaw July 2023
Bagpuss replied to Monarchs2468's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I just feel that if you expose any rider who doesn't ride in Poland currently and /or hasn't done much in the past they will get absolutely devoured at Wroclaw, a track where there is absolutely nowhere to hide. Ellis has been a regular on the continent for years and Brennan has quite a bit of Polish experience as well as riding BV every week. As good as the averages for Lawson, Worrall, Wright etc are in the UK I think they would be put to the slaughter. Bomber is the only other option really but I just don't see him having the speed unless he can sneak a longtrack bike in -
World Cup - Wroclaw July 2023
Bagpuss replied to Monarchs2468's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Got to be Ellis and Brennan for me. -
It was 2009 And it was bulbs in the floodlights And Lynn weren't injury ravaged (bar a knock or two) but badly out of form Other than that you're spot on (especially the last bit) The highlight of that season though was the Muppets theme tune on parade
-
I thought he rambled a bit. Can't be easy being interviewed straight after losing your first meting by 40.
-
You can have guests for any of your top three.
-
Amazing the difference it makes when you get rid of the berms and craters
-
So only wanted to ride the four 'big' tracks? Wonder if that was him or Wroclaw who decided that.
-
And that's British speedway as a whole to be fair.
