  1. Yep apologies, just added that bit in as a general afterthought.
  2. Which I guess makes some kind of sense. However my assumption would be that Wright & Lawson either didn't want to be in the squad or their faces don't fit.
  3. KK has a broken leg does he not? Also if Buster is making a 'fortune' from crap beer and food then that's great business acumen!
  4. I think the issue at places like Wolves particularly and places like Poole, Peterborough etc is that the majority of the fans are concentrated into one place so any noise made by several people is magnified. Perhaps its just more noticeable at Wolves because of that.
  5. I think those riders would have to be let go, the only fair way you could do it would be for everyone to have one but we all know it would end up extremely lop sided like 1995/96 with the haves and have nots. The sport would need to reinvent itself with strict points money and ideally a lower admission to get new people in. Almost burning it to the ground to let it regrow.
  6. The Becker point is a good one but you can't deny that BV had the majority of the bad luck and probably would have won but for those bits of misfortune.
  7. I agree, boring to keep reading it during and after every meetng he does.
  8. What's Bewley done, or was it a precautionary withdrawal with a GP this weekend?
  9. I think it might be a subtle way of saying wnaker
  10. Unfortunately you two are letting your dislike of Keith Chapman get in the way of sensible suggestion and debate.....the club is working with and not against the BSPL and keys not forget that the person who was running and funding the team has walked away half way through the season due to personal reasons, other than seeing the club shut down for the year I don't really know what the alternative is. You are right the fans are suffering but I don't see how deducting points and awarding meetings helps anybody least of all loyal supporters. The priority has to be getting through this season and coming back stronger in 2024 whoever that is under. Highly unlikely to be Buster, he wants to hand over the reins and retire, good job he hasn't decided to do that already and has instead stepped into the breach to try and keep the Stars going.
  11. Fair point, I like all forms of cricket but you just can't beat a good test match and all three Ashes tests have been very good so far.
  12. Essentially it's Complin who isn't reaching the heights expected. He was a gamble but it seemed like a calculated one bearing in mind his experience, NL scores and a few decent Champ performances last year.
  13. Funnily enough I could never really watch golf until I played it, I think its a sport where an understanding of how you actually play helps. Like the Ashes there have been recent Ryder Cups which are as good a sporting theatre as you can watch. The 'Miracle in Medinah' was something else. I'm not able to watch test matches live but listening to TMS all day and then watching the hour long highlights on the beeb in the evening is a great way to consume the Ashes. For anybody who doesn't get why cricket is exciting I'd recommend watching todays Today at the Test on the I-Player, or even better Google day four of the Headingley test in 2019! It's as good as sport gets.
  14. Discussions develop on threads, that's how the forum works.
  15. Your loss....once again this Ashes has been the greatest of sporting theatre.
  16. H McGurk's decline has led to Harrison's promotion, one of those things you couldn't see coming. In the long run it'll do him good but its a steep curve for the young man at the moment.
  17. Chris Louis hasn't said that, the forum Chris has. Louis was defending Buster on Twitter.
  18. Are you thinking of someone else? Looks like he missed one visit to Poole out of eight for the three seasons he rode for Lynn that they were in the same league as Poole, and that was due to an injury.
  19. I expect Nowak will always have his Polish commitments and earnings in the back of his mind, if there is a hole in the track you'd imagine getting through in one piece ready for Sunday would be his priority.
