  1. It's a two way street though mate. I'm not shelling out 22 quid plus petrol for a losing team and poor racing, and it seems many feel the same.
  2. All to do with the stocks which make the money. The clay surface won't change while that's the case. The racing on the whole has been crap for years, unless it's uber slick like for the Leicester v Poole meeting in November when people can actually race. Can't see things changing unfortunately. Had heard also that the surrounding industrial estate moans when it's dusty, hence the grippiness in the summer months.
  3. Absolutely. There's a winning culture at the club. They are well supported, well sponsored and well managed. Everything you want your own club to be.
  4. Nothing to do with Lynn! My club is currently a shambles. The point is if the prospect of winning either on aggregate or at all is diminished then in most cases some folk won't turn up, it's human nature.
  5. Strictly speaking the line up being referred to had Jakobsen, Palm Toft and Edwards in it and the real prospect of Pickering returning but I very much take your point.
  6. Not every team will every week, but as a general trend it has been the case for many years. The number of times Poole heat leaders and second strings have beaten top riders over the years will bear that out.
  7. The club is a absolute shambles unfortunately. Track, team, results, crowds, take your pick. For those o us who have been going since the last century in particular its painful and so demoralising.
  8. IMO Poole for whatever reason is a very difficult track for away riders to get the set up right for, for years away riders have struggled to score points there in both leagues.
  9. It's always the latter with dear old Skidder. I'm sure he'll remember 2009 when Poole were shyte, finished one from bottom and their crowds were awful.
  10. I think the phrase you need is learning disabilities.
  11. @Cabbageman learn to use some punctuation FFS
  12. Hmmm might be time to close this thread, all getting a bit silly.
  13. For those who don't listen to the @RoundTheBoardsPodcast podcast each week the latest episode has some excellent discussion and ideas from former Coventry rider Lee Coleman about moving speedway forward in the UK and making it a better customer experience, and he has submitted a document to the SCB to that effect. Well worth a listen. https://podcast.sport-social.co.uk/podcast/round-the-boards-the-speedway-podcast/
  14. Buster said straight away that the team was over budget so any guest will be bargain basement, that's a given. Sheffield to score somewhere between 50 and 60 I expect.
  15. Not really, there are some fresh views in there and some good reasoning for them. What's your suggestion out of interest?
  16. Pleased for Jason if he gets the chance, he's a good lad.
  17. Apologies, I'd forgotten that the Championship were doing the superheat this season
  18. You feel that Oxford have missed a trick a little bit there.
  19. I just feel that if you expose any rider who doesn't ride in Poland currently and /or hasn't done much in the past they will get absolutely devoured at Wroclaw, a track where there is absolutely nowhere to hide. Ellis has been a regular on the continent for years and Brennan has quite a bit of Polish experience as well as riding BV every week. As good as the averages for Lawson, Worrall, Wright etc are in the UK I think they would be put to the slaughter. Bomber is the only other option really but I just don't see him having the speed unless he can sneak a longtrack bike in
