Exactly. There is no doubt he is/was a gamble, but two points from six rides is far worse than anybody could have reasonably expected. He is either unmotivated, ill prepared or has completely lost the ability to be competitive. My suspicion is that its the second one as I don't believe he would have been signed in the first place if it was the first. And I think its highly unlikely to be the third. People can laugh and say 'I told you so' but based on his last stint here and recent Extrakiga seasons he should be capable of being a solid middle order man/heat leader in our Premiership without pulling up loads of trees. Two meetings probably isn't enough to tell if he can do it but 4-6 will be I'd have thought. And he's not the only one who needs to up their game quickly either.

What I would say is that Alex Brady has never been shy to make a change if necessary and I don't see his patience with KK lasting too much longer if things don't improve. You would like to think he has a plan B up his sleeve seeing as KK is a gamble. On the bright side Klindt and Pickering were much better tonight but the way the team was built requires everyone to contribute not just a couple of rider. Wolves at home next Thursday is a massive meeting if it wasn't already. Hopefully there is plenty of practice planned over the next week as a home defeat against an unfancied team is unthinkable.
-
Pretty sure Brady wasn't involved when Bridger was signed.
-
I just think Jorgensen is an average, inconsistent speedway rider. His away form has never really been good enough but he is decent (and exciting) at home so gets in the team every year.
-
Never a good idea to post when your emotions are running so high. Not really any need to abuse people however annoyed you might be.
-
Obviously thought it was a gamble worth taking. Might still be but not looking good so far.
-
A bit early for that but you might have a point if the next two matches (ar home) go the same way. They've been two tough away meetings but 34 and 32 is poor. Lots of fingers need pulling out.

I think its worth remembering he was averaging 8 for Rye House when he last rode here. Not saying I want him gone after two meetings but he needs to show something in the next two or three matches or it would seem pretty pointless persevering with him. Shutting off into bends is a massive alarm bell already.

I don't understand why Jakobsen finds Owlerton so difficult to get round.
-
Wha happened to Kasprzak in heat 6?
-
In fairness he had a pretty poor 2022 all round, he already looks like a different rider this season. Very shrewd signing for a month.
-
Not strange, he'll be doing 28 days rather than 200+.
-
This probably looks like the best solution, not sure who else will come.

I think Lynn are having an incredibly tough start to the season, both matches are/have been away and I think they are our two hardest away tracks taking into account standard of opposition, the make up if the side and traditional results. I'll be far more optimistic at BV, Ippo, P'boro & Leicester. Keeping it close tonight is one thing, winning at home in the second leg against this Sheffield side will be quite another! I'm looking for encouraging signs this evening, improvement from Monday and hopefully something near to 40 points.

If Pedersen packs it in after half a lap I'd be incredibly disappointed in him, I thought he had more about him than that.

Quite right, forgive me. Should have read other six tracks or other five away tracks, was in two minds and made a pigs ear of it

Really enjoyed that, the racing improved after a slow start. A fair bit of rustiness on show but a competitive meeting with the cream rising to the top in the later stages. Always a great speedway experience and night out at the NSS. -
I think the rain has to take most of the blame, if it'd been a drier month then MPT and KK would have ridden in the original staging of the Peter Craven, Lynn would have had practice on P&P day and would have had a meeting last Thursday at home. I expect last night would have been closer with all those taking place but essentially you can almost write off Lynn's two visits to Wolves every year as we are traditionally so poor there, its a unique track which thankfully only accounts for two out of our 24 league matches so just have to forget that one and make sure we do better from now on. The other six away tracks should be much more suited to the Lynn team.

Not entirely unexpected but at least we scraped enough points to have a theoretical chance of the bonus point. Never great to go into a league match without any kind of practice or warm up meeting but it is what it is. Hope for better on Thursday at Owlerton.

The most important think and great to hear. If they keep that up I might even be tempted to venture over at some point.
-
Nail on head. At least Nicholls doesn't race for another team in this league I guess.

I quite like the ones with the darker breasts, the issue as always is different manufacturers meaning different colour shades. Wouldn't matter if they were Mr Blobby pink with yellow spots as long as they all match!

This is where things go wrong in the UK IMO, if 28 day facilities are going to be handed out then why extend them as surely a new signing if required could be found within that time? Personally I wouldn't grant Scunny with one anyway (ie NL guest) as its a non speedway injury. All top five absences should be R/R, guests only once multiple riders are unavailable. Guests really do need minimising if not stamping out. As for the meeting anything within ten will be a good result, even though Wolves don't look great we rarely go well there, almost a bogey track.
