Emil Sayfutdinov and Co bring in the crowds?
Bagpuss replied to Phil's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Rode at Lynn in 2011. -
But presumably he committed to Peterborugh to earn money? I don't see him jacking those earnings in myself, especially being the determined character he is. Maybe if he has two or three big crashes he might decide to cut the UK out but not after half a lap of the season.

I don't get all this questioning whether Mr Ped will return or not.

Law of Sod. -
Don't see the issue with practicing on your home track whenever you fancy personally. Even on the day of a meeting.

Oxford v Swindon Select - Rescheduled April 19
Bagpuss replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I really don't think its unreasonable to want or expect to pay on the door by card/phone, we are talking crowds of a few thousand at most. And I think its fair enough to be a bit miffed at paying more for an online ticket on the day than other days. -
Kings Lynn v Sheffield KO Cup - 30th March

Not at all surprised, and quite pleased personally as it saves a load of umming ad ahhing tomorrow. -
Laptop Streaming isn't stupid at all, it's one of the few things British Speedway does that isn't stuck in the twentieth century.

Has this Lawson anti P&P thing always been the case or just since being royalty rogered by Eastbourne?
-
The BSN guys come across as an honest bunch to me, can understand the scepticism when it comes to Buster but I'm taking this at face value.

Sexier than P&P

3 from 4 rides twice (and one non appearance through injury) both from number 2. So you have a point, but last year has to be taken into account too.

Just a shame all the suits aren't an exact match......

Sure we've been over this already.....nobody is saying he's 'that good', just that your assessment of 'cack' is just that based on the stats provided.

Something similar happened at Lynn once after a massive pre meeting shower, the track was able to be sorted bar an area on the inside of the first two bends and they moved the white line. It was against Mildenhall so was 2006, '07 or '08 and I remember their correspondent Randall Butt having a whinge about it in the Speedway Star the week after. If it'd s choice between moving the white line or abandoning then it's a simple decision really.

Apparently he's packed in the announcing at Lynn & Peterborough due to his health which is a real shame, I started going to Lynn in the late seventies as a toddler and can only ever remember his voice as he regular announcer. Don't know if he's going to continue doing Peterborough United. EDIT seems he packed in the football at the end of last season.

It's a no brainer, bigger names mean more punters through the gate. -
That is a good point. Essentially P'boro have lost a close meeting in the last heat without their number one against a strong side, I wouldn't be too downhearted or disappointed.
-
Aussies have always taken well to the EoES.
-
I'd say P'boro did pretty well to get 42 once Mr Ped crashed out. Doyle & Emil are going to get plenty of 5-1's this year.

Sheffield the team to beat by the look of it, which we kind of knew already. Fear for Lynn a bit on Thursday!
