  1. And along comes the professional sniper You would imagine not as the people who run Glasgow speedway seem to care about British Speedway as a whole and not just their own club.
  2. Excellent stuff. Speedway is full of conflicts of interest anyway (Campbell compiling the fixtures anyone?) but to have a sponsor and one who will spread the word is great news.
  3. That should have embedded but didn't.....anyway Lindgren & S Lambert announced EDIT sorted!
  4. Ah but how many of those have you ridden
  5. At the risk of sounding pedantic I would say that replacing more than half of the team ie 4 riders constitutes a rebuild personally.
  6. Followed by best turnstile operator, best announcer, best machine examiner zzzzzzzzzzz
  7. Lynn Mildenhall Ipswich Peterborough Long Eaton Buxton Carmarthen Newport Swindon Reading Poole Exeter Trelawny Eastbourne Arena Essex Rye House Sheffield Workington Glasgow (current) Edinburgh (current) Berwick Newcastle Redcar Middlesborough (year after closure unfortunately) Hull (most recent) Wolves Cradley Birmingham Scunthorpe Belle Vue (current and previous) Somerset Bradford Coventry Oxford Cardiff Stoke
  8. Having a discussion about it would be better......
  9. But you are talking about a stronger league twelve years ago. I'd say a better barometer would be his Polish Extraliga averages from the last couple of seasons.
  10. If Ipswich sign him and do a 1998 again it would grate a bit of course but at the end if the day there's a bigger picture, he'll put bums on seats and make the league stronger, I'd much rather see that personally. I can remember him coming to Lynn with Coventry in 2011, the place was packed to the rafters.
  11. I really don't think that's true, surely the majority of folk who attend the six other Prem tracks want to see Sayfutdinov ride when Ipswich visit? Why would they not?
  12. It's a mystery, there was definitely another Eastern European rider representing Ipswich that Good Friday in 1991 but I can't find any evidence of it anywhere online. The only way to know might be if somebody is able to physically produce a programme from their attic.
  13. Yep the chippies at both Mildenhall and Rye House twenty odd years ago when I went regularly were fantastic. Don't generally do food in speedway stadiums unless I have to though as its usually overpriced garbage.
  14. If that's true its quite different to pre season targets but in any case riders need a little bit of pressure if you want to be successful. Not too much but at the same time not ambling around pressure free and unmotivated. Team spirit and togetherness is the key for me though good team managers and captain will cultivate that early on and keep it going even when results aren't great.
  15. AFAIK he doesn't but happy to be corrected. No idea why Skidder found my post so funny!
  16. Or perhaps he'd rather sign for Ipswich for more money if the Emil deal falls through. If Buster isn't really involved in the day to day running of the Panthers as I suspect then I don't think Holder would be put off riding at the EoES.
  17. So there we have it, as you say they essentially have the same second tier experience and Cook has the lowest average of the three. In terms of where they are right now I'd say that's case closed. Let's all reconvene in eight months time and redebate it then.
  18. Course he is averaged over half a point less than both Brennan & Thomson without bonuses in 2022. Might well turn out better than those two but as things stand he's behind them.
  19. Knew I wasn't dreaming it! Remember going to the Foxhole in the afternoon full of optimism having dispatched the Twitches comfortably in the morning 54-36 with Henka Gustafsson scoring his first Lynn maximum, but the Stars were poor and Ipswich ran out deserved 48-41 (?) victors. Lynn put that right a year later though after a morning washout by wining 48-42 in enemy territory, Henka and Bo Brhel doing the main damage and securing the win with a heat fifteen 5-1.
  20. Injuries are the big thing, no doubt they have robbed you of a shot at the title more than once in the recent past.
  21. He definitely rode against Lynn home and away on Good Friday 1991.
