'Hooking the guest' made sense at the time as it was a race without Doyle or Emil and to be fair Howarth only had a point at that stage, however it was poor planning for he and Edwards to have four rides each. -
I would persevere with Klindt, we know he is capable of better and at least cares/puts the effort in. KK is done though for me.

Taking into account Doyle sitting out heat 15 yes that was a better performance and score but one rider is letting us down big time away from home despite scoring well at Lynn and in the Extraliga, I think we are owed an explanation as to why he is shutting off into corners and not beating anybody it's not good enough. Don't see the sense in getting rid of Klindt personally, he hasn't beaten an opponent in a heat one yet and needs to be better at home but has scored 8 today and at Sheffield and at least gets stuck in. While I understand using a TS against King, Howarth really should have had at least 6 rides today. -

Absolutely, well done to him but from a Lynn fan's perspective (ie me) he shouldn't be beating any of our top five. -

I think the local derbies are the least of our worries, the crowds will be down to a few die hards if these performances continue. Anyway, I don't want my club just making up the numbers so the the ones with resources have a league to race in. -

I hope the merry-go-round involves Lynn getting shot of some of our chaff. -

No disrespect to Danyon Hume but he shouldn't be sitting sitting there on a paid max after three rides, absolutely criminal. I think what the club NEEDS is to be racing in the Championship, we have been way out of our depth in the top division since Covid for whatever reason. -

28 day facility for injured/missing riders
Bagpuss replied to IronScorpion's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
If they'd had a whole month to sign somebody and had failed to do so then yes. Guests and facilities are being used far too often and for too long, it's further damaging speedway's credibility. -

I can remember a couple in the late nineties/early noughties where Foxhole in the afternoon and Lynn on the evening. 1999 & 2000 certainly. -

Yes, if their rider isn't fit or they haven't signed a replacement. -

So Glasgow is tight into the bends but Berwick isn't? Hmmmmm. -

That's great and we all hope it lasts but let's see what the trend is over the whole season. Early season optimism will evaporate for many teams and as @mikebv says once guests really kick in it will make it difficult for many to take it seriously and keep going. Guests certainly put me off going, my team are likely to have two this Thursday and that takes the shine off for me personally. I wish I could switch off the part of me that cares about the integrity of British speedway and just go and watch my team and the racing regardless but I can't. I want my clubs seven riders to race for my team and not somewhere else, or be worrying about them getting injured racing in the Championship. Doubling up and guests have got ridiculously out of hand and the sport is in a mess, it needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom and fresh governance who can run it properly and rebuild it into something that patrons and sponsors can take seriously. We need lots of clubs to be well supported and financially sound, not just a few. -

I would beg to differ. The corners of a pitch on the inside will always dictate narrow exits and entrances unless those corners get taken up. Workington and Hull were the same. That's why riders have to shut off and almost queue up to enter the corners. If the second part of your post was true then we wouldn't get any passing at Belle Vue. -

Many early season predictions had Edinburgh, Berwick and Brum as the bottom three and early indications are that they are probably correct. As for the track, it seems the club have done all they can to the corners to make racing better but while the straights and entrances/exits to the bends are so narrow and there is no leeway to change it due to the football pitch then it little will change unfortunately. Berwick need at least two changes to be competitive IMO, no idea who but Etheridge and Stoneman out and two solid middle order men in would do the trick.
