  1. That's exactly how I'd line up I think, not sure Pickering is really 'weaker' other than on paper and I think he and Jakobsen swap after two meetings anyway.
  2. I don't think he's 'overrated' because very few people think it's a great signing. Essentially if Alex Brady can keep him motivated and interested he could be a very solid heat leader and that's essentially all he needs to be a all that can be reasonably expected. If he can't be arsed he'll be gone in no time at all so it'll be interesting to see what transpires.
  3. He has reached 12 GP finals, won three of them and has finished second in the overall standings as well as winning 5 SWC's. There is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that he's been world class during his career.
  4. I think Thompson would be the best option personally.
  5. That's just one though, you could say the same about many tracks. I'd have thought a bad injury record would mean an unusually high number of broken bones.
  6. What's the evidence that Scunny has a bad injury record? I've always considered it very safe due to the width and shape but happy to be disproved. Gutted for Jack.
  7. Sounds familiar to me, think it was suggested at the time and possibly the result of being stored for three years instead of one?
  8. Yep fair, but we all know Brum doesn't like Pedersen or KK, we've heard it ad nauseum. Plus as much of a plank as NP can be on a speedway bike, it's a myth that he injures riders. Maybe it's because they get out of his way
  9. Fair assessment, although it would be nice if you could do a prediction one year without all the little digs
  10. If he can sort out the mess that is British speedway it'll be money well spent.
  11. Always polite to post a link http://www.redcar-speedway.com/2023/03/02/bears-bailed-out-after-massive-injury-blow-to-shanes/ Fingers crossed Shanes gets it sorted and can carry on racing at some point in the future. Great to see Bailey back in the Championship.
  12. I think its probably time to move on from the Holder thing, he's had his say and P'boro have signed someone else
  13. I think the Foxhole is quite different to Monmore (or Kirky Lane or Arena Essex), they are/were all very tight tracks whereas Ipswich is smallish without having to turn really hard to get round the corners. Sayfutdinov won't take long to master it IMO.
  14. Ipswich were a second division side during his spell with Coventry in 2011 so I assume not.
  15. Maybe. Perhaps Sheffield won't be able to make an extra team change either.
  16. Could happen! Literally any of Lynn's top six could end up there scoring big a la Bjarne in 2021.
  17. Good views all tound the stadium, covered terraces on both straights and open air on the bends. I stand on the first bend near the pits. Unfortunately we have a stock car mesh fence all round the track between the speedway fence and the terraces which isn't too bad if you go every week and are used to it but is a bit annoying initially as a new visitor.
  18. It'll be pay on the gate I'm sure. Plenty of room for everyone in the AFA.
