  1. Absolutely, the rain has hung around for an extra four hours this morning and there is more to come tonight, looking at the forecast for the rest of the week they may even have their work cut out to get it sorted for Saturday.
  2. Was a bit puzzled by the cancelling of Tuesday after a nice day today and another dry one tomorrow but then I remembered the BEN Fund on Saturday, to be fair we've had a fair bit of rain in the last couple of weeks after a dry winter (of course ) and the priority has to be to make sure the track is ok for the weekend.
  3. The customer is always right....its a bad businessperson who points the finger of blame at their punters however irritating some of them might be.
  4. Who are the 'usual knowalls' out of interest? The fact that most people think you'll finish bottom should be viewed as a positive, it takes all the pressure off and means there is only one way to go. People can only judge and speculate on what they see on paper, its what a forum is for. You shouldn't take it personally if folk think thete are eight better teams, they are only opinions after all.
  5. Somebody has said the 'Lambert Loophole' has been closed, is that the case?
  6. Bit boring not to discuss it further though on a discussion forum? I'd disagree with BarrowBoy, for example Oxford have far too long a tail to be finishing anywhere near third if in the Play Offs at all, and Redcar have strength all the way through so they will be top two or three IMO. Glasgow top as long as Ace Pjiper is OK.
  7. Excuse my ignorance, but why as he a 'guest'? As far as I'm aware one of those has to be in a 1-7. As for reassessment, he should really have been, no argument there. Hopefully something Mr Morris will sort out.
  8. Spot on, that's the key point that seems to get missed. Whether he should have been reassessed is another argument, but he wasn't and fitted to replace an injured rider. Which is much more preferable to a guest (eurgh) or R/R.
  9. I don't think Flint is though, not at Wolves. He might be if he was at one of the big tracks. He's quite clearly the best of the seven in the Championship but as it stands I just don't see it in the Prem. I'd say its quite close between Flint, D Thompson, Edwards, Jenkins & Gilkes with the other two slightly below them as it stands. There's obviously a good reason(s) why Kemp hasn't been picked, we'll probably never be privy to them but as you say something doesn't quite add up.
  10. Kemp was also poor for Wolves last year.
  11. Line up complete http://www.kingslynn-speedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.31307
  12. I think for an early season individual that's a great line up. Having a track like that will certainly get good riders to come.
  13. This is a good point and I hadn't thought of it. Personally I'd say riders of his calibre should be 9 but as you say if it was 8 he'd have fitted anyway.
  14. I can't think of another team sport where members aren't in exactly the same attire. It's now 25 years since they were first introduced and still we have teams not using them in the UK, not wanting to look professional and give themselves an identity. Looks so amateurish IMO.
  15. As Phil says attitude is a big factor and Ipswich would know having worked with Kemp and Rowe before. Thompson the next cab off the rank effectively.
  16. Yep I thought he was under nine, probably getting his British reduction confused. Would suggest he should be nice minimum, Emil too really. Lidsey certainly should be reassessed. No criticism of BV, they are taking advantage and good luck to them.
  17. Well of course not but if most of their riders rock up for P&P in brand new kevs anyway then it's be a bit daft if they weren't all the same! Just think it should be a given by now.
  18. Yep as should the helmet colour, or the riders style etc etc. But those who don't like matching suits always say that telling riders apart can be difficult so it's a good idea from Redcar. And great that they have finally embraced team suits, BSN should be insisting on it if any teams aren't doing it this year (Brum?)
