  1. Freddie seems to have hit a vein of consistency in the GPs but unfortunately it’s below zmarzlik’s level of consistency, zmarzlik has put all the pressure on Kurtz, if Kurtz handles that pressure he has a chance but zmarzlik knows one slip up from Kurtz and zmarzlik will sail off in the distance and not just luck that’s planned, he has put Kurtz right where he wants him, will Kurtz buckle ?
  2. He does crash occasionally, he had one last week in Toruń although it was more of a roll over than a crash
  3. Had I been without the Mrs or the lad I could of stopped for free in the center, one of my customers owns a few nightclubs and bars in Cardiff so could of stopped there upstairs, it certainly helped with parking anyway
  4. Which is another track where zmarzlik struggles if that’s the right word ? The next round is Gorzow where lately it has become a proper gate and go place and even the home riders struggle to pass but not the main man he loves it
  5. Never understood this, in the times we stayed there, we had rooms in the youth hostel in the center for £10 of which some riders kipped on the floor in our rooms,we stopped in a premier inn around 15 mins in the valleys for £50 a room and one year we took the camper and stayed in Cardiff bay for £40 and lots of other did too, we got a taxi to the center which we shared with other fans so was about £5 each, think it was just lazyness of some folk to do some planning
  6. Keith Huen does a brilliant podcast, it’s on YouTube somewhere, where he is talking about road racing way back but it was the same in speedway, where the greats like Sheene or Robert’s or whoever had far superior factory equipment to the rest of the the field and this was the same for mauger Olsen briggs or whoever where as today all the top riders are have access to the best equipment so it’s harder to be so dominant today as it was way back when, zmarzlik’s bikes are no faster than anyone in world speedway, he uses same frames, same carbs, same clutches, often even same tuners as everyone else, he is simply a better rider that has no advantage at all where as you didnt have that situation with Olsen or mauger and particularly briggs who anyone will tell you about his Jawa deals, Olsen even brought the rights to weslake in 1983 which backfired because it as the year the first GM came out,way back riders were cheating with fuel additives etc which was wide spread but today it’s too strict and nobody can get away with it, I’m sure they try, like madsen when he suddenly burst on to the GP scene and people were asking questions and then when they started doing more checks he not been the same since, was he cheating ? Well he got form, remember silencer gate ? Oversize engines are pretty much a thing of the past at top level and they eliminated the fuel cheating by riders filling up from one tank before race but not in uk where it’s open to cheating, upshot of this post is zmarzlik is the greatest rider this sport has ever had and likely to have, he is exciting, calculated, brave, fast, he is the complete rider of which we have had flashes of in others but never to this degree, but unlike in other sports he is beaten regularly but until you do it everytime he will always be at the top and eventually the statistics will back this up and it’s not cause he has the best equipment because he doesn’t
  7. Zmarzlik needs Kurtz like penhall needed carter, like rickarddsen needed crump, he needs Kurtz to keep him at his peak
  8. When I drop the clutch I am feeling this is my night, that’s the chat of a champion
  9. Did zmarzlik try a set up in last ride so as he picked gate 4 and he knows his bike will get there ?
  10. Fricke and michellsen going at each other and lindgren doing what bewley should of been doing but just seem to sit there
  11. Janno was good in his pomp but worlds away from zmarzlik, I’ve never seen a rider see a move and read it before it happens and react to it like it’s nothing, most riders would of forgot about kubera there and protect their positions but zmarzlik was like swatting an irritating lambert fly while lining up kubera
  12. Zmarzlik read lambert like a book there, every move, every block all while planning his attack on kubera, I have never seen a rider as good as zmarzlik
  13. I think he has recovered now but he had a stroke a couple of months back
  14. Wright hard on lebedevs there, not that we were given the privilege of actually seeing it
  15. That is a fair point and if it was so then yes I probably would of gone, well at least for the Saturday
  16. It was going to be on top of athletics track, it was Alexander stadium not Alexandra palace sorry, got abit confused by name
