  1. Big decision for him and Wolves, partly depends if he fancies joining a team that might be homeless part way through the season
  2. Good meeting some excellent racing in the later heats especially and the Souper Heat was great. And not a tyre problem in sight. We'll miss the EOES when it's gone
  3. Chances of this being on? Heavy rain all morning in Stansted. I'm not fancying a wasted journey
  4. I know when Glyn Taylor was doing the Wolves track he was going to sort the drop off to the fence on turns 3 and 4. I did the track walk with PK and Fred at PK's testimonial and they said they hoped it would be fixed.
  5. Lots visiting Hackney and Wimbledon with Wolves and White City and Wembley for the big nights I was a regular at Hackney and Wimbledon when I moved down here for work in 1985 and then was a regular at Arena Essex with the occasional visit to Rye when we moved to Hertfordshire My "local" tracks are now Peterborough and Ippo
  6. Sadly not a prayer which for those of us who live here is a disappointment
  7. According to Adams he may require an operation that would rule him out for 6 weeks so he's going to ride on and see how painful it is as he's trying to avoid the op for now. It's entirely possible his season could be over soon if he can't manage
  8. Monmore greyhounds Monday afternoon meeting is cancelled due to the weather forecast
  9. That can't be true surely? It's a Discovery Sports event they'll have to sort it out with Esbjerg
  10. No Masters so I'll go a draw now with Wolves winning the super heat
  11. Should be a relatively easy away win I'm going
  12. And we think it's just British Speedway that is a mess, a major international event moved 45 miles a couple of weeks before the event. Absolute shambles
  13. When I went to Owlerton for the Wolves match recently there were issues with the track early on which they had several goes at sorting out before an extended grade after heat 6 finally sorted it and it was fine thereafter and there was some excellent racing Perhaps Sheffield need to review their track prep
  14. Changes to the stadium layout would need the agreement of the landlords and are likely to prove expensive even if consent could be obtained
  15. Given the crowd level/sponsorship requirements outlined by Brum prior to the start of the season then adding in the late team assembly, missing riders, medical cover disaster and the Ellis short termer not being declared it can be no surprise that Brum are losing money. The only positive is that they can make it to the end of the season and pay all the bills as they go hopefully.
  16. The problems that the owners/developers may or may not encounter in the planning process will be irrelevant if they give the speedway club notice at the end of the season Arena Essex is still tied up in a laborious planning process but once the speedway is gone its gone
  17. Agreed but the costs are sustainable generally The championship is tricky doubly so given the Eagles request for assistance/sponsorship. See Birmingham, Newcastle and the last effort of the Eagles for evidence.
  18. Yes. The greyhounds should be on so the car park should be open. No issues leaving it there through to the speedway. Walk in to town or catch the 79 bus on the main Bilston Road
  19. National league would seem the most sensible option Be good to see the Eagles back
