The only way I could see it working based on Wood's comments is if the BSPL needed another PL track then a Northampton type arrangement might work if the likes of Busty are involved. Of course at this moment the BSPL don't need another PL track but who knows who may or may not run next season....

These independent people don't exist and if they did they'd want paying and that's where the idea would hit the blocks

Rent upfront for a season is likely to be not insignificant plus infrastructure costs as you've mentioned plus the knowledge that your pretty certain to lose money once the turnstiles open... they won't be queueing up to take this on I suspect

Northampton only happened because Buster was involved and they have a level of trust It would depend who the prospective promoters of Eastie would be but they'd have to come up with the money and put the money up.front. He also says he thinks it would lose money but we all know that anyway
