  1. wern't they threatening to get lawyers involved over some posting on here not so long back?
  2. it does, I worked in Prague for a couple of years and it is rife. There is nothing to alarm anyone but you do need to be very careful on public transport
  3. about an hour from Garda itself, take the motorway A4 and Lonigo is just off that. Google maps will sort you out easily
  4. watch out for pickpockets on the tram and at the stops though
  5. I went to Lonigo 2 years ago, I recall the meeting was in July and it was baking hot. We stayed at Lake Garda which was excellent and also visited Verona which we enjoyed especially the Opera You would need a car for Lonigo but you could also do Venice easily from there
  6. Gothenburg is a terrific city, I went for the abandoned meeting but still had a great weekend, that tells you how good it is, highly recommended
  7. ok, thanks for that will try and get there early
  8. well said Sir try taking a deep breath FIRST next time
  9. thanks this is great, we are going by car. Where is a good place to park please? many thanks in advance
  10. Ryanair from Stansted to Verona Brescia We stayed in Garda itself and Verona, both highly recommended and easy enough to get to Lonigo by car Great meeting last year
  11. Anyone got theirs through yet? thanks in advance
  12. [quote name= It annoys me that had I gone to Sweden and done the same' date=' including assaulting one of their nationals, I would probably be waking up today in a cell waiting to go to court.[/quote] on a slightly different note my wife and I went to Parken last year and most of the crowd were totally pithed by the end, the English people were the exception!
  13. well said my wife had visitors over the weekend whilst I was down at Cradiff, they switched on to see if they could see me and to watchn a couple of heats and ended up watching the whole meeting and getting hooked Edinburgh will get a couple of new fans out of it
  14. can anyone tell me how big the crowd was?
  15. the fault here lies entirely with BSI who accepted assurances from the Swedish federation that the track would be up to scratch notwithstanding last years poor surface. BSI are newcomers, who has heard of Mr P previously? they have made a serious error of judgement here that might cost them their credibility if there are any further problems. We all know that none of the governing bodies of speedway have any teeth so they are unlikely to be thrown out this time but if they loose the support of the fans then it's good night campers. As i said to a very flustered John Postlethwaite on saturday evening it could have been worse, i could have gone to the Austrailian GP (if it ever happens again!) Regardless of weather conditions on the preceeding days how could they have not had anyone doing some laps on the friday to test the track, i see that they have at least learnt from this by announcing that Tony Rickardsson will "test" the track on thursday night.
  16. the insider is i believe correct. i was staying in the same hotel as the BSI party and Mr Olsen and Messrs Gollob, Nicholls, Richardson etc and there were various whispers. in addition a rider who was on a sunday night flight back to London basically confirmed what he posted but not in so many words
