I've been to Peterborough loads of times and never seen any. There used to be quite a lot at Coventry in 2014 as I think the Greyhounds used to be walked around the top of the terraces, or left to their own devices, but they seem to have cleaned their act up last year. Used to annoy me because most people know I always have Lucy with me and I didn't want anyone to think it was her.

I don't see why not as dogs are welcome at Peterborough. Molly is always very impressed whenever she goes. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153948747132785&set=pb.550797784.-2207520000.1453490423.&type=3&theater

Test. It does.
-
Yes ~ two matches that's all I saw, unless I need my eyes testing and you are seeing a full fixture list.
-
I can't even see any home matches on the official website except for the first two against Sheffield. Where is everyone getting the 'full' fixture list from?
-
Do you really think the average supporter would be willing to even pay £20, let alone £25? Speedway is already too expensive so loads more would be lost to the sport. Getting the top riders back here is not the answer because for every fan that wants to see them there is another who isn't bothered who rides as long as the racing is entertaining. I fall into the latter category.

Would racing on Friday's really have made that much difference to someone like Doyle for instance? Although Chris Harris has often given up the GP practice to ride for the Bees I doubt if many riders would be willing to do this. So what top rider/s do you think would sign for the Lions this season if they changed to Friday's?

It's going to be quite a small secret group then? I'm wondering if DH was threatened with Dave Darcy pulling out if the track wasn't altered as he doesn't seem to be the type of person to ever back down about anything, least of all admitting he got the shape wrong by changing it.
-
Well, if that's the plan then let's hope the fans who give up after the first few meetings decide to return again but more than likely they will have found something else to do. It's bad enough knowing we're probably going to lose the first match against Poole.

Swindon 2016 - A New Era Starts...we Thought..
Gemini replied to dump that clutch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What I don't understand....and perhaps a Swindon fan can explain.....If they haven't started on the new stadium yet and are going to use the old one until it's ready why has a house been built in/near the pits or are they going to be in a different place? -
Yes, you're right. Sorry. I'm referring to Dave Burton who I believe is one of the car park stewards but I can't check the 'Secret Group' which Dave it was as the post seems to have disappeared now. Perhaps the secret group is going to be even more secret and only season ticket holders will be told about it.

Yes, a quick walk across the Speedway track to get to the funfair and probably the only reason I could persuade my two to go to Belle Vue.
-
I don't think the ashes were actually scattered but were buried in a container where the old start line used to be, but I could be wrong. I'm sure I read somewhere this bit won't be affected by any building work, but I don't know how they work that one out.

I already knew the answer would be 5 because he's one of the staff so would get in free. Just a shame he's pleased it's Coventry's last season (barring a miracle) as no fan should want a track to close. Worse still to gloat about it on the 'Save Coventry Speedway' page. Hope I never go in the car park or I might just be tempted to forget where my brake is if I see him. At my age I'd probably get away with it now and avoid a prison sentence. Don't know but I've downloaded that little lot to see if it's correct when the season starts and compare the details to the other tracks I go to - Peterborough and Coventry. By the way you've missed out the sun break.

The only one who seems to be in agreement on Facebook is Dave Howard and on here rmcts so if I add 2 + 2 together I wonder if it will make 4?
-
Not if it means admitting he got the shape wrong in the first place. I think the moaning being done was more to do with the fact there would be a new secret Facebook group for season ticket holders only. No-one is saying season ticket holders shouldn't get extra perks but why does there have to be a secret group? Not everyone can afford a lump sum especially if more than one in the family is a supporter and paying at the gate doesn't make them any less of a fan.

Nigel Boocock Ashes Laid To Rest
Gemini replied to speedibee's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Four deep along the back straight? No-one was there, in fact I think it was closed off as was the end section of the grandstand. I haven't got a very good camera but if anyone wants to have a look at my photos they're here. https://www.facebook.com/janet.hambleton/posts/10154467547727785?pnref=story -

Yes, I would imagine that will be the last thing to happen. -
Discussion: The World Final 1973 Heat 19
Gemini replied to Igor's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Oh come on that would be totally unfair on Bomber. He's already 2 seconds behind the other three riders so if rolling starts were allowed they'd be at the first bend before he moved. -
Surely Leicester aren't that desperate.
-
Have you changed your mind now as I thought you were giving Speedway at Beaumont Park a miss this season?

Told you. Sod's law working again.
