  1. So if Nigel's ashes were in an urn they could be moved as well?
  2. It didn't look like it. That's quite a small pile of shale. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154467526367785&set=a.10150784554067785.494859.550797784&type=3&theater
  3. Well, that's what I was thinking too. My friends ashes were scattered on the track 11 years ago - some opposite the 4th bend where we used to stand and some at the starting gate so they'd be long gone now. As much as I love Speedway it's not something I would choose to happen with mine.
  4. I'm not sure what was said at the time but no doubt someone will remember better than me. I think it was along the lines of a house not being built in that spot which was on the start line. How they'll manage that I don't know but everyone knows what the future plans for the stadium are so they must have taken that into consideration when they wanted Nigel's ashes to be buried there.
  5. I don't think so. He just reads and 'likes' things I think. I tried that for a while but couldn't keep it up as I find it too hard to keep my fingers off the keyboard.
  6. Nothing but it doesn't really matter does it as not a lot will be happening regarding a 'new stadium' for ages, if it ever does. I never mind when topics veer off course myself but each to their own.
  7. So deep and grippy it is then as that should suit the whole team. Thank you Mr Trackman.
  8. Very much doubt they will risk it this close to the season starting. I'll be okay anyway because when/if I go I have to be on the 3rd/4th bend anyway as dogs aren't allowed anywhere else. At least I'll see some passing. Don't all move round at once ~ Lucy likes a bit of space to go to sleep.
  9. And the English? Presume Bomber would like the same as the Poles but what about Garrity, Sarjeant, Bates and King? Aren't we lucky ~ 5 English riders in the Bees team.
  10. Over to Fat Tractor Man and Speedflash. As someone who has no idea but moans about more laps by the tractor than riders I'd say the track the riders prefer is completely different to what the majority of supporters would like.
  11. He's the one carrying the red light. So what season's has he ridden for Wolves? 2009 to 2014? I make that just 6 years so if he ever decides to grace our league again and does 4 more years I will agree Stevebrum is right. I won't hold my breath though because I don't think there will be an Elite League for him to ride in by then.
  12. Not according to Orion it didn't. According to him fans soon got used to going mid week instead of Saturday.
  13. Thank goodness Stevebrum is on holiday abroad somewhere, hopefully with no access to the forum, because he would after I downloaded his post that Tai Woffinden would be a Wolf for 10 years. He hasn't been and I've never let him forget it either.
  14. It does 4 mph ~ I'll probably still beat Chris Harris out of the gate.
  15. Probably in my mobility scooter with the dog on my knee, plus a blanket just in case it's chilly. Oh....and to please SCB I mustn't forget the flask and chair because all of us old ones turn up with them apparently. I think I'll manage everything as it's got a basket on the front.
  16. Yes it was, but not before we'd had to put up with a lot of embarrassing meetings which did Coventry Speedway's reputation no good at all.
  17. It's a bit hard to trust someone who a couple of years ago said he owned the stadium 100% but then we found out he actually didn't.
  18. Yes, it's going to be really boring being a Poole fan this season......again. Personally I prefer a bit of a fight to win and not a foregone conclusion. If Poole aren't champions at the end of the year I'll do a circuit of the Brandon track naked, but please no-one remember I said that because this is really not something you want to see .
  19. Probably the beginning of Sandhu's attempts to piss everyone off by not allowing the promotion to choose their own track curator.
  20. Blimey! If I made that journey I'd want to stay for a week to make it worthwhile. Mind you I've a friend who is an Edinburgh fan who travelled down to Leicester for the PL match and then drove back again afterwards.
  21. Sadly it's the close season so not a great deal happening to discuss on any of the BSF threads. Squabble, squabble? This is nothing ~ wait until the season starts when it will really get going.
  22. Is Monday April 11th correct? Presumably the Bees match is on Sky being as it has been moved from the Friday and I can't remember any second half racing being held after a Sky match before.
  23. I think people have been moaning about the lack of passing since Leicester opened so nothing new there and it actually might make things a bit more interesting to have all the dirt out by the fence and a few ruts. As for sun breaks ~ sorry I've not been brought up with these in my 65 plus years of Speedway watching and I can't be doing with hanging around waiting for the sun to go down. Of course that all depends on whether there is any material to move around in the first place as tracks seem to be ultra slick these days.
