  1. Not really surprising. Freezing cold, Poole with a 22 point lead and a lot of people probably saving their money for Bomber's testimonial a couple of days later.
  2. Nothing changes does it? Still on a wind up. Just in case you are interested in some more realistic thoughts, mine are another defeat for Coventry but not as much as 22 this time so I suppose we'll have to be thankful for that. I don't think there will be too many problems as the circus is over on the left and I'm sure there'll be enough room on the other side. Sunday might be a different proposition though as they'll probably be a much bigger crowd supporting Bomber's testimonial.
  3. I think you'd better be careful Lisa as you are definitely turning into the female version of Starman. That's his standard answer. He said that to me and there wasn't even a question for me to answer. I offered to reply if he would tell me what he'd asked but strangely enough he's never got back to me.
  4. Not really ANY club as we don't want Hans back thanks. Wouldn't say no to Buzz though ~ always like watching him at Peterborough. Don't be daft Lisa. It's not a management statement, just a fan, and it's not about having 'no ambition whatsoever' more like being realistic that Poole will easily win, but we're not really that bothered. That's another view from a fan ~ not management just in case you're confused.
  5. AT least he talks more sense than some of yours.
  6. Well, that's wrong already as it's bloody freezing here today, ten days too early.
  7. Don't call me 'Surely.....' That'll confuse him. Yes, I've got the message now as I can't be doing with stupid people.
  8. I wasn't aware that I had a question to answer. Tell me what it is and I'll oblige.
  9. So what would the 'desired effect' be? Stay away and close down due to lack of support before the end of the season instead of at the end so Sandhu can get on with his house building? Is that what you mean?
  10. Well, lucky you. Unfortunately there has been a lot of flooding in the Midlands ~ Leicester and Coventry included ~ so no surprise the practice was called off. Thoughts? More like a 28 point lead than 8.
  11. And here comes another one. Why don't you read Steve Hone's posts then you would know what he wants to know.
  12. Probably. Thousands of Greyhounds mysteriously disappear every year when they are either too old to race anymore or aren't good enough.
  13. I'm not understanding this. In your first post you say doctors are looking for people with severed spinal columns and your title of the thread is 'Hope for Darcy?' but then you go on to comment in the second post 'there is no chance of ever being able to walk again.'
  14. If only someone had listened to you earlier. Let's hope all those fans who have gradually given up will now give Leicester another chance to show how good the racing can be if the track shape is right.
  15. Yes it was February 26th 2011. Looks like Bryn is having a bad day today with his facts.
  16. Looks like it will be Poole v Belle Vue every week then, with Poole champions every year of course so no change there.
  17. Not on Leicester's either. Swindon due at Beaumont Park on Saturday the 16th according to the fixture list.
  18. So if Nigel's ashes were in an urn they could be moved as well?
  19. It didn't look like it. That's quite a small pile of shale. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154467526367785&set=a.10150784554067785.494859.550797784&type=3&theater
  20. Well, that's what I was thinking too. My friends ashes were scattered on the track 11 years ago - some opposite the 4th bend where we used to stand and some at the starting gate so they'd be long gone now. As much as I love Speedway it's not something I would choose to happen with mine.
  21. I'm not sure what was said at the time but no doubt someone will remember better than me. I think it was along the lines of a house not being built in that spot which was on the start line. How they'll manage that I don't know but everyone knows what the future plans for the stadium are so they must have taken that into consideration when they wanted Nigel's ashes to be buried there.
  22. I don't think so. He just reads and 'likes' things I think. I tried that for a while but couldn't keep it up as I find it too hard to keep my fingers off the keyboard.
