Workington V Ipswich Sunday 30th Sep

Can't remember, can B/W helmet be used in this, hope not! -
Agree Scarra that the rules should be enforced for all clubs, if it's 28days then it's 28 days for everyone, not some.

Well said!

Agreed but tonight they were expecting to use R/R, I believe the dispute is that Glanz has said he's not not been paid.

Spoiled as a contest when Barker dropped out and them having to use a Nat League rider at 4. Still some good racing though and plenty passing, someone said in the bar that Fisher hasn't been the same since he crashed into the boards a few week ago. Not a good night for the Plymouth fans who made the long journey.

Steady rain now in town, looking doubtful if BBC forecasts right. -

This does seem to be dragging on, never been to Leicester but with Somerset and Scunthorpe tracks around I thought they would at least have got the shape right. -

Thanks for that, while I'm here, on Comets unofficial last night that doctors have told Kenny that along with injuries already reported he also has 3 more broken vertebrae and a badly broken shoulder. Terrible for the lad -

I remember Ritchie with us, I think Graham Drury signed him. He was going well and looked a racer til he got a head injury. That finished his season and he's had other injuries since and didn't do well on his last visit. I hope he gets his career going again, he has the talent. -

Richard's form has dipped at home as well, hopefully he'll get it sorted. -

Sounds good, will a DVD be available? We seen Jason at Norhside a year or two ago. He didn't win the meeting but looked like a speedway rider, really comfortable on his bike, just a bit too daring maybe which caused him too come off. His was the name we remembered and we were disappointed that he was injured when Rye came to DP. Hopefully he'll have an injury free run and keep improving. -

Might be an idea to give the captaincy to Adam so Rich can concentrate on himself -

Er no, not cos I said so. Didn't they finish last weeks meeting with 4 riders and still won. Last night Ricky got injured without scoring or maybe I've been dreaming about Berwick. All this tiit for tat is crazy, replace taking the mick with bad taste if you want -

I think you'll find that the majority of Workington fans, like me said it was reckless, no more. A very respected member and the administrator of the unofficial forum thought it was a racing incident. The fact is we're all in this together, no one wants to see riders hurt from any team. All the fans here are concerned about Kenny yet you want a rider to stick his finger up at them (not literally). Respect? Bit inflammatory I think. As for Josh he didn't seem the same in his next race, don't know if it had anything to do with the accident. It's the worst crash I've seen and I had a good view of it, he could have waited til there was room. And Shadders, asking how it was takiing the mick, come off it. You're on here a lot and I notice your other team, Berwick are having atrocious luck. Best wishes to Ricky, if there's a more frustrating sport to follow I don't know what is, -

I expect you're like me, go to speedway, meet and speak to riders in the bar and sort of get to know them. You're not just watching 4 different coloured helmets going round. There's a young lad, miles from home in hospital with bones broken in his back as well as his arm and you see it as a chance to take the mick. It was a bad crash, I don't think for a minute that Josh meant to hurt anybody , he had plenty time to get past which I think he would have cos he was flying. I enjoy watching him but remember not being surprised when he took Mear out in the Brit Champ, if he could gate he'd take some catching. Cheap shot I think. -

I too enjoyed it, thought it was a lot better racing than 2 year ago, the only other time I've been. Regarding Scott, he's been a regular GP Rider up until this season but was dropped cos he never does much. Chris Holder's efforts show him up, and probably Harris as well, though he has won one. Pity Chris ain't British. It's not long since we were seeing him in the Prem League, don't know what was up with him when James Wright won the PLRC. -
I think the large majority of people anywhere are ok. I was in Manchester when the football European Championships were on, a group of Croatian fans happily let me take their photo in their chequered red and white shirts. We were near Poles in Cardiff last night, they were there to enjoy it, that's all.
