I’m sure I read it was at the Celtic Manor near Newport in Wales.
-
Told it will be RR for Ethan.

Am I right in thinking that Howarth was not given a RR outing for Summers? I know he was off colour but if he had taken one it would have freed up one of the reserves for heat 13. I’m also wondering whether Lawson should have been given gate 1 in heat 15. Big ask for him to make an impact from 3. Any thoughts?

If I were Poole I would be cautious. Garry May is a shrewd guy. Remember he’s done a number on Poole twice already. Both legal but well thought out. Once with the Vissing absence then on August Bank Holiday when he improved his reserves. New averages will also be in force for the second leg so plenty of twists in this one for us to mull over.

Bit late I know but wanted to say well done Eagles especially Georgie. Getting a max tonight after last week’s smash was terrific. Kent looked jaded after Manchester last night and will have better nights. And by the way who did the announcing tonight. It was clear and precise and very professional. Is this guy permanent. Hope so.

Read somewhere that when the testers were at the Isle of Wight a couple of weeks ago, they tested four riders two hours before the start and the test was for drugs and alcohol.
-
I would guess it would be R/R on each side for Stoneman and Webster. Home win, but with two RR’s is the curfew under threat? Hope not.

Sure you’ll enjoy the Island. If you look back a few posts on here you’ll see some useful advice. Very welcoming place and do say hello to the promoter Barry Bishop. He’s a real people person and very happy to hear what you think.

Thank you for the clarification Neil.

Looking at issue 21, Atkin 8.47 and Cockle 7.83. Have I mistaken something?
-
Not sure. Current averages suggest otherwise.

Check out their website (www.wightwarriors.co) Sometimes a bit slow to load but packed with information including travel arrangements and codes. Any specific questions can be sent by email to speedwayontheisland@yahoo.co.uk You get a warm welcome and look out for promoter Barry Bishop in a blue and yellow shirt. Say hello to him, he loves meeting fans - he knows they help pay the bills.

Poole v Somerset 27 June 2018
Dickie Head replied to Ghosty's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As eluded to by the Poole contingent, Claus Vissing leaves Somerset after (sort of) helping them in to the next round of the cup with Aaron Summers comes in from the debris at Rye House. -

I O W v Brummies NL 28th June
Dickie Head replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
Back on topic and just wanted say well done to the promoters and staff on the Island. You get a genuine welcome from their staff, friendly banter, tidy presentation and in Barry Bishop a man who puts his paying punters front and centre. Took time at the start of the meeting to give us a warm welcome, explain their shale problem and possible dust problems. He is always visible and approachable and then kindly took some on to watch from the centre. They may not have the best team but they sure do Speedway proud. -
NL green sheet averages. Are these rolling averages with 2017 included? Are National Trophy and KO Cup included? Does the four home and four away criteria apply? Does the 23 of the month calculation date apply?

Poole v Somerset 27 June 2018
Dickie Head replied to Ghosty's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You have a short memory Steve. Jake Allen and BWD aren’t afraid to get the elbows out as they showed on several occasions last year. Could be a close one with Pirates (just) on the night but Rebels on aggregate. -
Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 13/06/18

Speedway GB have put up heat 12 for viewing. http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.34739 Previous posts seem to suggest heat 13 was better. Suppose the DVD Company don’t want to scupper sales by putting the best stuff into the public domain. -
So Hopwood reported to be at the IOW tonight being very ‘hands on’ with the Devils. Cockle still absent after conclusion of ban. 2+2=4 or does it?
-
So Hopwood’s off because of his job. Buxton bound? I thought about suggesting Plymouth as it looks like Cockle’s a goner but guess that wouldn’t fit the job. Alfie Bowtell comes in. Fair enough. He needs the rides.
