I think his main point is Ipswich not using a rider who is stronger than both options they've gone with - poor team building. The fact that Kemp is their asset, just makes it worse! I've not read any rule about "picks" for the RS positions, as far as I'm aware, they got signed the same way any rider does.

I think it's harsh to judge Dan on this season, didn't have a Champ spot till now, which would be the correct level to judge his improvement in. Also did a decent job for Leicester as their RS, posting a better first season average than the likes of Jenkins, Plain, Edwards & Thomas did!

It's quite hard to judge how good / bad riders are performing, only going by their scores. Many are suggesting dropping Joe T rather than James P. Based solely on their scores, makes perfect sense, however if James was at 6 & Joe at 7, would their scoring be different? At tonights match, Pearson beat Kinsley 2-1 but didn't beat any other riders, while Joe fell in heat 2, but then never met another reserve, only racing Oxford's in form top 5! I guess you'd have to be at the match to judge them better?

The problem with race suits, is when one of the team doesn't wear one & stands out & looks really bad - wouldn't be noticeable of teams were race jackets. So if they have to have team suits - then you've gotta enforce that ruling imo
-
I don't understand that, if all teams have to have race suits, how could Ipswich just not bother having one made up for Joe?
-
Maybe Belle Vue will swap out Mulford for Rowe / Bailey a day before the transfer cut-off date? Save money all season before the title gets decided!
-
Can also sell any unsold pics of Joe as Dan at the club shop lol!

Average too high to replace Bellego

I'd go with Charles Wright & Scott Nicholls, but I'm pretty sure it'll end up being Tom Brennan & Adam Ellis. -

Don't forget they need 5 riders. Could put two "lesser lights" in the team & one of the 3 GP riders at reserve to pick & choose his races! -
They have 6.02 available to replace Bellego. While Mountain was good last year, I wouldn't use him with 6 points available.

Totally agree, it was the same with the "jokers" some seemed to think unless you got an 8-1 it was a failure, but turning a 3-3 into a 6-3 was as valuable as turning a 5-1 into an 8-1! -
Important win for the Witches tonight, couldn't afford to lose ground on the top 4.

Klindt has definitely been the biggest disappointment, while Jakobsen has been poor since leaving the reserve berth. Problem is pretty much every rider has been under performing, when you add all that together the team gets beat every week. Big improvement tonight though. -

Jorgensen hasn't got an "inflated" average at all. Last season he averaged 6.10 from 17 matches. His 10 match rolling average was 6.35, not a great deal different. His home / away split is also fair 6.71/5.70. This year he has fallen backwards, as have many of the team, doesn't mean his 6+ starting average wasn't deserved though. -

Why can I never find any of these posts? -
Pearson should be scoring 2 more points than most number 7s each match, otherwise they've used a 4.00 average for a 2.5 rider. Replace Pearson with Hagon & you can sign a 7+ rider (Batchelor, Andersen, Wethers) to replace the injured Wright.

I think it's the right decision to help Leicester make the play-offs. But wanted to show how I feel Dan T has done nothing wrong! Sadly this sort of change is not anything new in Speedway, look at Joe T losing his team spot at Scunny as they couldn't find a replacement for Kennedy! -

I don't think there's any need for him to "kick on" at another club. I'd suggest a 5 point Champ rider, getting a 3.1 ave in his first Prem season is already showing good progress. Averaging better than Rowe, Edwards, Thomas, Mulford, Jenkins & Palin did in their first "rising star" opportunities. If he gets another RS spot & carries on with his current form, he's done well for me! -
I've never understood it myself, it's the same riders in league matches as in cup / challenge matches etc.

Nothing comes up, maybe I'm blocked? Can't think why though! -
I'm not sure what fans expect clubs to do about the lack of fixtures. A great many on here / fb etc comment that there are far too few fixtures & I'm sure if crowds turned up to watch challenges, fours, pairs & individuals in good numbers the clubs would put on these fixtures to fill the gaps in the fixture list? The fact that clubs don't, suggest fans don't turn up (ignoring the die hards) in big enough numbers to make it viable? So when someone says there's not enough fixtures, I wanna reply that's because you (the fans on the whole) don't turn up to them! In the past they used to have a National Trophy for the stand-alone clubs (Kent, Mildenhall, Workington) that would've given these 3 clubs an extra 2 home matches. Not sure why that's not running? As an official fixture, would hopefully bring in more fans than challenge matches?

Dan was doing perfectly fine averaging 3.33 (4.17) so there was no need to look for a replacement, but once Kemp had a great guest appearance they've quickly strengthened up. While Joe's averaging 1.29 (1.81) but Ipswich have kept him. Witches should've been quicker to strength up imo & could cost them a play-off spot!
