  1. When I saw Bickley was at number 6 I expected him to score a point in heat 2, have 2 x last places against the 1+2, 3+4 pairings, then get dropped from his last race. So having had time to think about it, I would only have signed Bickley to ride at number 7. If Jenkins was going to remain at number 7, Roynon should have stayed in the team.
  2. Pickering's 2021 ave 7.38 (8.31) Pickering's 2022 ave 7.37 (7.89)
  3. Scunthorpe have had plenty of blank Fridays, so don't know what the 2nd leg hasn't been raced yet. Perhaps Scunthorpe know they will get knocked out by Leicester & won't make the play-offs, so are wanting to hold this meeting later on to make their season last longer? I can just picture it now though, lots of blank days during the season & finals still raced at the end of October!
  4. My point is, If he rode well last year & wasn't in demand by Sheffield, who dropped him. What will change next year after another good season?
  5. Wasn't in demand by Sheffield despite his efforts for them last year!
  6. I've never heard that rule & certainly see no benefit in it!
  7. 6 points behind, with 2 home matches in hand. Win those & Poole & Glasgow are level!
  8. Indeed, can't claim to be a "better team" except for 2 riders. As a team is all 7 riders.
  9. 1) in theory it's Ablitt's job to beat the opposition number 7, so achieved that 2) for a sub 2.00 rider to beat a 3.9 reserve away from home 3 times is VERY GOOD
  10. Which is how he's available, if King was riding to last year's form his average would be too high. Must be one of the best options below Kennetts ave
  11. Maybe King is confident Poole can beat anyone over 2 legs, so it's bothered if the Pirates finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th?
  12. It seems Oxford are using him based on one fantastic NL match, mind you that match was against a VERY weak Plymouth side, where his reserve partner Butcher also scored double figures. Miles away from Champ standard! Oxford could have used Jenkins, Stoneman or Atkins today!
  13. Gilkes can return in place of Morley as I believe Morley was an "injury replacement". Keeping Morley over McGurk would put them above the points limit.
  14. If Plymouth can choose which rider to replace with a guest & r/r, I would have gone with Leon Flint for MPT & r/r for Kennett (everyone gets a ride). Can't believe James Wright was being considered as Andersen's replacement! Just as well Hans is now riding!
  15. Don't understand the anti-Bickley comments Roynon's 2022 ave 2.50 (3.33) Bickley's 2022 ave 3.20 (4.56) How can anyone not believe Redcar are now stronger?
  16. The problem with a rider having to "rest" after pulling out of a fixture, is that it means more guests being needed! Fans already complain that too many guests are used - with a rule like that a club would be forced to use a guest, while a rider, who's been declared fit, wants to ride!
  17. As it's a DEVELOPMENT league, isn't the most important thing giving young British riders more track time, regardless of the fact Leicester are 98% through to the final?
  18. Even with a fit Masters, Monarchs may not have got a point!
  19. Think you're being overly hard on Jorgensen, he's averaging 5.78 (6.52) this year, which is the highest 2022 ave for any current reserve!
  20. Mildenhall certainly need the 4 points to stay in play-off contention in my view. Hard to see them failing to get that!
