Indeed they can, the more of us that adopt this stance the greater the chances of them backtracking and putting it on normal tv, I don't enjoy watching with foreign commentary as much as English but I'll live with it, no way will I shell out for the player, on principle alone. From what I gather there was no commentary on the player for the last round anyway, Eurosport are a bunch of tossers.

The previous CEO of British Gas actually replied directly within an hour to advise he was just boarding a flight but would ensure I received a call within 2 hours, which I did, so it does work. No of course not but at the time I posted they were in the process of supposedly sorting the track, seen it done plenty of times in Sweden and matches have gone ahead, they are better equipped to do it than any other country.
